Antony Starr Lands Netflix Lead After The Boys — Everything We Know
As The Boys barrels toward its explosive end, fan-favorite Antony Starr is jumping to Netflix to headline the new drama Breakers, starring as Brando.
Antony Starr is not waiting around for life after Homelander. With his time on The Boys heading toward the finish line, he has already signed on to lead a new Netflix drama called Breakers. Sun, surf, and trouble ahead.
So what is Breakers?
Starr plays Brando, the magnetic, slightly enigmatic boss of a tight-knit surfing community in Australia. The show centers on two American backpackers who wander into Brando's laid-back beach world and get pulled deeper than they planned. It started life under the working title Red Bluff, which fits the vibe: postcard-perfect on the surface, something sharper underneath.

Cast so far
Right now, Starr is the only officially announced cast member. Expect more names once the beach dust settles.
When will we see it?
No release date yet. Netflix is keeping it coy for now:
'the Breakers wave will crash onto Netflix sometime soon.'
Translation: not ready to pin a date on the calendar, especially with that mid-2026 production wrap.
Where else you will see Starr
This is Starr's first big TV commitment after The Boys wraps, but he is not going dark in the meantime. He is back as Homelander when The Boys Season 5 drops on April 8, and he recently finished shooting the Andy Warhol biopic Samo Lives for Neon.
