They simply can't watch it now.

It's been twenty-three years since Big Brother debuted on American television to become one of the longest-running reality shows. Based on the eponymous Dutch program, this indoors version of Survivor has spanned a whopping twenty-four seasons, with the twenty-fifth currently airing.

Premiering at the dawn of August, season 25 of Big Brother features some seventeen contestants – the highest number yet – who compete for the show's $750 thousand prize. And as much as fans are still excited about the beloved reality competition, they have voiced their frustration with the changes to BB that CBS has introduced this season.

Poor Scheduling

For the past several seasons, Big Brother has had a programming pattern that viewers were most happy with. The reality show would air on Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 pm EST and on Thursdays at 9 pm EST. Now, this routine schedule has been altered to Sundays at 10 pm, Tuesdays at 8 pm, and Thursdays at 9 pm. Naturally, the viewers are reluctant to accept these drastic changes.

Fan Reactions

Apparently, the major sentiment has to do with moving Big Brother to later in the evening. It's simply not convenient to watch anymore.

'I just found out tonight's episode doesn't air till 10pm. I'm a devoted fan. I'm in my 30s but my kid has school in the morning, and it's the start of a work week, this is ridiculous. I can't stay up till 11 watching reality TV,' one Redditor expressed their annoyance. 'Two hours of reruns, isn't that what streaming is for, or late night programming? This makes no sense, it's like they're trying to get us to not watch episodes live.'

The reruns in question are the first season of Yellowstone, which CBS picked up this season to make up for the lack of its flagship shows like Young Sheldon and NCIS.

'After the several weeks of getting pushed back due to golf tournaments, the time changes, and the night changes, I pretty much only watch the live show when it is on and stream the episodes after they post to Paramount+. I don't even bother trying to keep up with their airing schedules that they switch around all the time. I mostly watch the feeds the rest of the time and watch the episodes when they are down…,' another Reddit user wrote.

Hopefully, things will change for season 26 of Big Brother if it is ever to be produced.
