And Just Like That Should Bring This Forgotten Character Back in S3

When the Sex and the City sequel show premiered in 2021, it garnered tons of criticism from fans of the original HBO series. Nonetheless, And Just Like That… made it through and was renewed for a second season, which just dropped its last episode on August 24.
Fortunately, fans say that Season 2 saw many improvements, compared to the first installment. One of the highlights was that the spin-off finally featured a few beloved characters from SATC whom viewers were craving to see back to the franchise. In particular, Carrie's ex-boyfriend Aidan resurfaced in the story, only to part ways with the protagonist for good. Also, Kim Cattrall's Samantha made a brief but memorable appearance in the season finale, much to the delight of fans.
Considering that AJLT Season 3 has already been confirmed, viewers are expecting more cameos from SATC stars in the upcoming installment, and there's one particular character they claim should reappear in the spin-off.
Louise from St. Louis
Besides the original six-season show, the SATC franchise includes two feature movies, the first of which premiered in 2008 and revolved around Carrie's breakup with Mr. Big after their failed wedding. Following the split, Carrie had a short vacation and was finally ready to pull herself together, so she hired an assistant to help her through the life struggles. And that is how Jennifer Hudson's amiable character debuted in the franchise.
Being 'the oldest of six kids,' Hudson's Louise was of great help to Carrie. Collected and with a good sense of humor and self-irony, she added luster and zest to the protagonist's life, which became rather stale after her wedding drama. Their emerging friendship was beneficial to both characters, as Bradshaw was able to enjoy her life again, and Louse got a nice start in the Big Apple.
What does Hudson think about a potential return?
Jennifer Hudson actually won an Oscar prior to starring in Sex and the City, but she says she still found the TV experience extremely satisfying. Now that she has played legendary Aretha Franklin in Respect, the singer and actress is admittedly eager to reprise the role of Louise from St. Louis.
'I hope so,' Hudson said when asked if her character could appear in new installments of the franchise. 'That would be cool. I'm down…'
