AMC Theatres Teases Prey and Predator: Badlands Double Feature — Back-to-Back Hunt Could Hit Screens Soon

AMC Theatres briefly posted and then pulled a listing for a Prey and Predator: Badlands double feature, hinting the ultimate hunt could be headed back to the big screen.
If you missed Prey on a big screen the first time, you might finally get your shot. AMC quietly teased a Prey and Predator: Badlands double feature for early November... then yanked the page. So, maybe mark your calendar in pencil.
So, what did AMC actually say?
"On Wednesday, November 5th fans have the chance to see both Prey & Predator Badlands on the big-screen by attending the Double Feature."
That was live on AMC's site, lining up just two days before Badlands' official theatrical release on November 7, 2025. Then it disappeared. Could be early posting, could be a change in plans. Either way, check your local AMC listings over the next few weeks and we will see if this thing reappears.
Quick Predator catch-up
Dan Trachtenberg, who rebooted the hunt with Prey in 2022 on Hulu, has stayed busy in this world. Earlier this year he dropped the animated anthology Predator: Killer of Killers on Hulu. Next up is Predator: Badlands, headed to theaters on November 7, 2025. If AMC's double feature happens, it would effectively give Prey a rare theatrical victory lap before Badlands lands.
Prey refresher
Directed by Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) and written by Patrick Aison (Jack Ryan), Prey is set about 300 years ago in the Comanche Nation. Naru, a skilled young warrior raised among legendary hunters on the Great Plains, responds when danger threatens her camp. She tracks a threat that turns out to be a highly evolved alien with advanced tech, which leads to a brutal one-on-one showdown.

- Stormee Kipp (Sooyii)
- Michelle Thrush (The Journey Home)

- Cody Big Tobacco (The Revenant)
- Skye Pelletier (Burden of Truth)
- Tymon Carter (The Emigrants)

Prey was produced by John Davis, Marty Ewing, and Jhane Myers, with Lawrence Gordon, Ben Rosenblatt, James E. Thomas, John C. Thomas, and Marc Toberoff as executive producers.
What Badlands is doing
Predator: Badlands jumps to the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator who has been cast out from his clan teams up with Thia (Elle Fanning, Super 8) for a dangerous trek to seek the ultimate opponent. Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi plays the lead Predator. Producers are John Davis, Dan Trachtenberg, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, and Brent O'Connor.
The takeaway
If AMC puts the listing back up, expect a Prey/Badlands double feature on Wednesday, November 5, with Badlands officially opening Friday, November 7. Until then, keep an eye on local AMC showtimes. Strange rollout move, but if it sticks, it is a pretty great way to revisit Prey before the new one.
