Amazon Slashes £110 Off Kindle Scribe Ahead of October Prime Day

Kindle prices slashed for one week only as early Prime Day lands, delivering some of the year’s deepest discounts across the lineup.
Yep, it is somehow Prime Day season again. Amazon is already rolling out early Kindle deals, and some of them are actually worth a look if you read on a screen more than you should (guilty).
Quick context
Last Prime Day was only three months ago, back in July, and we saw a decent spread: the base Kindle in Matcha was down by £20, the Kindle Colorsoft dropped to £184.99 from £269.99, and the Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Scribe, and Kindle Kids all hovered around 20% off. This time, the early cuts are bigger on a few key models — including a chunky £110 off the 2022 Kindle Scribe. The dates are a little messy — Amazon was teasing October, but the actual sale pricing starts in November — so here is the clean version.
When the early Kindle sale runs
Deals are live from Wednesday 1 November and run for one week, ending Wednesday 8 November. It is a classic Prime Day situation: limited-time pricing, and when it is gone, it is gone (or it quietly reappears next month, which is also very Amazon).
Bonus freebie: Kindle Unlimited
Alongside the device discounts, Amazon has an early Prime Day offer of three months free of Kindle Unlimited. That gets you access to a big library of e-books, audiobooks, and magazines through autumn without paying a penny. If you plow through books, that adds up quickly.
The deals that matter
- Kindle Scribe (2022) — £379.99 now £269.99 (save £110 or 29%)
If you want a Kindle that also behaves like a digital notebook, this is the one. You can read as usual, but also jot notes in the margins, journal, sketch, and generally pretend you are paper-first without carrying a notebook. Biggest early discount so far. - Kindle Kids (2022) — £114.99 now £84.99 (save £30 or 26%)
Under £100 for a kid-proofed reader. You pick the cover (Unicorn, Space, or Ocean), and there is a two-year "worry-free guarantee" that replaces it if it breaks. It also includes an Amazon Kids+ subscription. - Kindle Paperwhite Kids — £169.99 now £134.99 (save £35 or 21%)
The kid version of the Paperwhite gets you up to 10 weeks of battery life, a 300 PPI glare-free screen, and reading-friendly features like font options designed to help with dyslexia. - Kindle Colorsoft — £269.99 now £199.99 (save £70 or 26%)
Released in October 2024 and billed as Amazon's first in-colour tablet. This is the biggest discount it has had so far (previously £50 off at best). It taps into over 15 million titles worldwide, from novels and magazines to textbooks. - Kindle Colorsoft Kids — £259.99 now £189.99 (save £70 or 27%)
The first colour Kindle built for kids, in two styles — Starlight Reading and Fantasy River. Comes with 12 months of Amazon Kids+, a kid-friendly cover, and that two-year worry-free guarantee. Amazon pegs the total package value at up to £360.86. - Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition — £269.99 now £199.99 (save £70 or 26%)
Steps up with around eight weeks of battery on a single charge and an auto-adjusting front light. The glare-free display handles both bright sun and late-night chapters without frying your eyes.
The bottom line
If you have been circling the Scribe, this is the time — £110 off is not subtle. The kid models are also in a genuinely good place on price, especially with the covers and guarantees bundled in. And yes, Prime Day is somehow back already. Welcome to the never-ending sale calendar.
