Almost There: Virgin River Season 5 Part 2 Coming Sooner Than Expected
It’s not long now – and the trailer’s out!
Remember September? When it was still warm, your holiday memories were fresh in the mind and Christmas seemed an absolute age away?
Of course, it was also the time that Virgin River season 5 was paused and we knew we weren’t getting any more of it for ages. But guess what, we’re now only 6 weeks away from it’s return. Now, that might seem like a long time, but have you started your Christmas shopping yet. Because December 25th is always a day that’s just suddenly upon you.
But Virgin River season 5, part 2 comes before then!
So, when you think about it, we don’t have that long to wait until we find out what happened after wildfire swept through town.
Eventful holiday specials
But that’s not all fans of the show are waiting to discover. There was plenty of baby drama in part 1, with the revelation that Charmaine’s twins are not Jacks and Mel unfortunately losing her baby. As if things weren’t hard enough for Mel, she also found out her mum might have had an affair with someone in Virgin River (which let’s face it is a pretty ironic name for the place).
With that in mind, expect Mel to be on the hunt for her biological father – with Jack’s help, of course.
However, Mel is now against the idea of getting pregnant again, an understandable stance given that she previously had a stillborn child. So, there’s the little matter of what the couple are going to do about starting a family as well.
While we’re on the subject of Jack and Mel sorting out their future together, Mel has her heart set on buying Tara’s farm and Jack’s all about it being a perfect wedding venue. So, it shouldn’t be all doom and gloom in part 2.
Has Netflix made the right decision?
This is a good choice with the climax of the season crossing over with the holiday season. The two will align nicely and we can expect a little festive cheer from Virgin River which involves a bit more romance and a little less intensity than we witnessed in part 1.
If you really can’t wait a few more weeks to get your Virgin River fix, you’ll be pleased to know the official trailer is out already. And there’s more than a small hint that there’s good news coming up for Mel before the season finale.
