The new season of Spain's ultimate guilty pleasure is worth watching for these characters alone.

Prepare for a new school year at Las Encinas as the latest season of Netflix's Elite arrives this fall! Over the course of six seasons, the Spanish high school thriller has exposed the underbelly of the glamorous lives of wealthy teens, revealing the darkest secrets of the characters and their families.

Now, a new season is set to premiere in October. While some characters are wrapping up their final years, dealing with daily risks, intrigues, and romantic twists in addition to their regular studies, some of the most popular former characters will be going back to Madrid. However, fans are clearly more excited about the continuation of some storylines than others.

On Saturday in São Paulo, Brazil, during the Tudum 2023 fan event for Netflix series and movies, the streaming giant showed a teaser trailer for the new season of Elite.

Although fans were psyched to get a glimpse into how the story was going to continue, many remained sceptical about the direction the series would take in season 7 and which arcs would develop. Based on fan reactions, many are primarily excited about the Isadora storyline.

'Thank god they introduced Isadora because let's be real, she is the only one who's going to be able to carry the show now,' a fan remarked.

After Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau) and Ander (Arón Piper) left school to travel the world in Season 4, and Samuel (Itzan Escamilla) was killed in Season 5, viewers only had the sibling trio of Ari (Carla Díaz), Patrick (Manu Ríos), and Mencía (Martina Cariddi) to empathise with.

However, this entire plot conflict was abruptly resolved when the writers decided to write them out of the series in season 6. As a result, the new season's focus, as the trailer suggests, will shift to Isadora Artiñán (Valentina Zenere), an Argentinian student at Las Encinas who, over the past two seasons, has proven to be a deeply traumatised but caring girl rather than a spoiled rich socialite.

'Let's be real, we are only watching this show because of the steamy scenes and currently because of Isa's powerful story,' another fan confirmed the general enthusiasm for her storyline. It is our sincere hope that she will be able to overcome the trauma caused by the rape..

Equally intriguing is the return of Omar (Omar Ayuso), who was absent from the series last season and has not been developed much as a character since season 3.

The new season will premiere on 20 October.
