All the Chelsea Hate Has Love is Blind Fans Saying Just One Thing

Since its first season in 2020, Love is Blind has had viewers hooked on the drama and rooting for their favorite couples in the unique blind dating reality show. So far, Season 4 has not disappointed with love triangles, shocking breakups and proposals, and a few unexpected twists.

There are plenty of contestants that fans can't help but love, and a handful that are just totally unlikable, but one thing that surprised fans was the amount of hate directed at Chelsea Griffin.

Comments online have called the 31-year-old speech-language pathologist “cringy” and a pick-me girl along with a slew of other hateful critiques about basically anything and everything about her.

Chelsea has been accused of fetishizing Kwame after finding out he was a black man, she has been mocked for bringing her baby blanket named “Baba” along for their honeymoon, for not valuing herself as much as she should, for talking too openly about sex, and her expressing desire to be intimate with Kwame has been labeled as desperation.

The list is extensive, but fans have been quick to jump to her defense, with Redditor u/rjayvea starting a thread about the issue titled “when nothing’s there you gotta find something I guess.”

Fans expressed their genuine confusion over the hate she was receiving and called out the haters for reaching so obviously for any reason to hate her. The majority of hateful comments had nothing to back them and were brushed off by Chelsea fans, with positive comments about her way outweighing the negativity.

Numerous-Concert3970 commented that “Chelsea is a catch, I would love to be friends with her. She's open, fun, confident, kind, and incredibly mature.”

Chelsea’s energy and sexual openness may be too much for some people, but she has never displayed any bad intentions and has been supportive and kind to other contestants and loyal to Kwame throughout. The amount of hate people are trying to put on her is unreasonable and unfair, and an unpopular opinion according to Reddit votes.

It is frustrating that a genuinely kind and unproblematic contestant has come under such irrational hate, especially with real-life Mean Girls, Micah, and Irina featuring on the show who mock and laugh at other girls while they are heartbroken and crying.

It just serves as proof that some people will really go above and beyond to find reasons to dislike people for no reason, as if Love is Blind didn’t have enough drama to begin with.
