All Creatures Great and Small: Star's Comments Leave Fans Wondering About Helen's Fate
Tony Pitts' post made fans worried about the fate of his on-screen daughter.
The British show All Creatures Great and Small, based on the eponymous book cycle by Alfred Wight, takes place in late 1930s Britain and revolves around three Yorkshire vets — Siegfried, James, and Tristan — as they navigate their professional and personal lives in that unstable time.
Apart from the main trio, ACGAS boasts an array of characters that many fans have fallen in love with. Unfortunately, one of them seems to be facing an uncertain future.
Helen Alderson, portrayed by stunning Rachel Shenton, is James' wife. Their complicated relationship has been the source of drama since the inception of the show. Now as ACGAS Season 4 is approaching, so is the Second World War, placing the characters at greater risk. And, according to the actor who plays Helen's father Richard Alderson, Shenton's character isn't safe in the upcoming installment.
Skipping to the cheerful music, Tony Pitts, Rachel Shenton, and Imogen Clawson (Pitts' other on-screen daughter) are said to be entering 'an uncertain future.' Fans of the show were baffled by Pitts' caption, which made them worried that the characters will face danger in the upcoming ACGAS season, and Helen seems to be the one who may suffer the most.
As James' younger brother Tristan enrolled in the army at the end the third season, and James himself is going to join him too, Helen will likely struggle to run the farm without her husband. The storm is gathering on the horizon for the Darrowby residents, and their future remains very much uncertain, as Pitts said.
For Britain, as well as for many other countries, World War II was a dark time that brought terrible devastation to the land and its people. The country suffered repeated bombings at the hands of the Luftwaffe, and Yorkshire, located to the east of England, was especially affected by the Hull Blitz. So, without a doubt, the war will drastically change the beloved characters' lives, and some of them may even perish in the upcoming season.
With so much suspense in the air, All Creatures Great and Small Season 4 is already highly anticipated by fans. Though the release date hasn't been announced, the next season will likely come out in the middle of September, as the earlier three installments did. Since UK writers aren't involved in the ongoing WGA strike over in America, we can expect the usual schedule to be met.
