There are never too many movies about space horror and the xenomorphs.

On August 16, Alien: Romulus was released – the seventh installment in Ridley Scott's franchise, not counting the Predator crossovers.

The open ending suggests that there will be at least one more movie. However, Alien: Romulus Part 2 is not the only anticipated project in this franchise.

In Alien: Romulus, a group of space colonists infiltrated an abandoned Weyland-Yutani Corporation research station to obtain cryogenic sleep chambers. They needed them to travel to the more prosperous planet of Yvaga.

The station was used to conduct experiments on xenomorphs – scientists hoped to find a way to enhance the human body. However, the monsters eventually killed all the researchers. The marauders also encountered these xenomorphs.

Potential Alien: Romulus Part 2

The second part of Alien: Romulus has not yet been officially approved, but the ending hinted that a sequel is possible.

The Offspring that Kay gave birth to broke Andy, so Rain has to fix her brother. However, Yvaga is not part of Weyland-Yutani, and the synthesized humans created by the organization are not allowed there. Therefore, Andy was not supposed to be taken to Ywaga – the team needed him to open the doors of the abandoned station. So Rain will have to hide her brother on the new planet.

The sequel may also tell about more experiments to improve the human body. Rain will probably tell the scientists about the monstrous results of such research, especially about the Offspring.

The First Alien Series is Confirmed

In the year 2025, the debut series of the Alien franchise, Alien: Earth, will be released. This is the first project where the events take place on our planet.

The action will take place 30 years before the events of Alien. The series will tell about the secrets of Weyland-Yutani.

Among the main characters will be Wendy, an adult woman with the mind of a child, and her android mentor Kirsh. The latter will prepare Wendy for the war against the xenomorphs.

Potential Alien/Predator Movie Made by the Romulus Director

Alien: Romulus director Fede Alvarez has admitted that he hopes to expand the franchise with an Alien/Predator crossover, which would be the third movie in the series.

However, he will only take on the project under one condition. Alvarez wants to work with Prey director Dan Trachtenberg.
