Britney's new memoir has shocked the world.

Summary

  • Britney shows no mercy to Timberlake in her new book, sending his career into a tailspin.
  • Timberlake denies the allegations Britney makes about him in her memoir but refuses to sue her for libel

Earlier this week, Britney Spears finally released her long-awaited memoir, The Woman in Me, a book fans had been longing to get their hands on for years. And it doesn't disappoint, sending shockwaves through Hollywood with Britney's brutally honest thoughts on a plethora of iconic early 2000s stars, stirring lots of controversy along the way.

And while the book has embarrassed quite a few celebrities, as the pop diva unashamedly shares a lot of things about them they would rather she took to the grave, there is one particular big name that literally gets smeared in figurative excrement, and that's Justin Timberlake, who dated Britney from 1999 to 2002 and who famously, or infamously, broke up with her via text, landing her in a deep depression.

Truth About Timberlake

And while many expected to learn a lot of ugly stuff about Timberlake from the book, few had anticipated how bad this ugly stuff was going to be. For starters, Britney accuses her former boyfriend of gaslighting, manipulation, and generally super toxic behavior and then proceeds to write at length about the depression she experienced after he dumped her.

Furthermore, Britney reveals that Timberlake cheated on her and even pressured her to have an abortion when she was just 19. Needless to say, with the publication of Britney's memoir, Justin Timberlake went from everyone's darling to the most hated celebrity on earth overnight. So, how does he feel about it?

Timberlake In Shock

Timberlake has yet to make any official comments on Britney's allegations about him; however, sources close to him have confirmed that he's been in a state of shock since the release of the memoir, as he had assumed that Britney would have contacted him before publishing the book to talk about what she was going to include in it about him.

Timberlake is not cool with all the hate he's getting, but he has no plans of confronting Britney, as he reportedly has nothing to say to her. He's in real dire straits, though, as there is an increasing outcry from fans that he should be canceled in Hollywood for good, and that would be curtains for his career.

Well, seeing how there is a fair bit of cancel culture fatigue in Tinseltown these days, Timberlake might not get canceled in the end, but one thing is certain: we're never going to look at him the same way we used to before Britney's revelations.
