Adam Sandler's 7 Celeb Friends He Always Casts In His Movies
Adam Sandler loves his friends and regularly collaborates with them.
Whether you are a fan of Sandler or not, it's hard to dispute his loyalty. Almost every movie he's produced includes his close friends from Saturday Night Live (SNL) or even family members, such as his wife, Jackie.
Let's examine some of his well-known friends who have regularly appeared in his films.
7. Rob Schneider
Sandler and Schneider forged a friendship while on the Saturday Night Live comedy team. Sandler was a part of this team from 1990 to 1995, while Schneider left a year earlier in 1994.
They first shared the big screen in 1998's The Waterboy. Interestingly, Sandler reprised the same role in The Animal, and Schneider did the same in Sandler's Little Nicky. Schneider most recently appeared in the Sandler-produced sports comedy Home Team in 2022.
6. Chris Rock
Rock, like Schneider, met Sandler through their work on SNL. Their collaborations are numerous, including the sports comedy The Longest Yard, both instalments of Grown Ups, and the comedies Sandy Wexler and The Week Of, co-written with Rock, where both actors played the leading roles.
5. David Spade
David Spade, along with Sandler, Schneider, Rock, and the late Chris Farley, were collectively known as the Bad Boys of SNL. This group frequently collaborates in movies to this day.
4. Nick Swardson
Swardson first crossed paths with Sandler in 2003 when Sandler watched his special on Comedy Central and proposed a collaboration. Under the banner of Happy Madison Productions, Swardson first starred in Grandma's Boy and The Benchwarmers, also co-writing the screenplays for both films. He later took on supporting roles in films such as Bedtime Stories, Jack and Jill, and Grown Ups 1 and 2.
3. Steve Buscemi
Although Steve Buscemi has never starred in a Sandler-produced movie, he often features in them. They first met in 1994 during the filming of Airheads, and since then, Buscemi has frequently appeared alongside Adam Sandler.
'For me, the best part of working with Adam is just getting to hang out with you, man,' the actor said when Sandler was awarded the Mark Twain Prize.
2. Tim Meadows
Meadows, another of Sandler's SNL buddies, first co-starred with him in the 1993 comedy Coneheads. They have frequently collaborated since then. The most recent Sandler movie Meadows appeared in was 2020's Hubie Halloween.
1. Kevin James
Comedian Kevin James may not be an SNL alumnus, but he and Sandler are undoubtedly close friends. James is one of the most commonly seen actors in Sandler's movies, from I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry to Hubie Halloween.
