A Beloved Horror Franchise Just Hit Peacock — Binge It Before Halloween

Peacock is summoning a batch of Leprechaun films on October 1, 2025—just in time to haunt your Halloween watchlist. The cult franchise’s pint-sized menace is back to cause mischief all month long.
Peacock is loading up on tiny terror for Halloween. Starting October 1, 2025, the streamer is dropping a big chunk of the Leprechaun franchise — including the wild tonal swings and the one that blasts off into space. If you grew up on these on late-night cable, you know exactly what kind of chaos you are in for.
What is actually landing on Peacock
- Leprechaun (1993)
- Leprechaun 2 (1994)
- Leprechaun 3 (1995)
- Leprechaun 4: In Space (1997)
- Leprechaun in the Hood (2000)
- Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood (2003)
The original 1993 movie was directed by Mark Jones and introduced Warwick Davis as the gleefully mean little monster at the center of it all — a role he kept across all six of the Peacock-bound titles.
Where the two outliers are streaming
After 'Back 2 tha Hood,' the series took a left turn with a 2014 reboot, 'Leprechaun: Origins,' directed by Zach Lipovsky. That one is currently streaming on Plex.
Then came 'Leprechaun Returns' in 2018, which is a direct follow-up to the 1993 original and pretends the other sequels never happened. Inside baseball note: Warwick Davis did not return for 'Returns'; Linden Porco took over the role. You can watch 'Returns' on Fubo and YouTube TV right now.
Is a new Leprechaun still happening
Back in June 2023, a new entry was announced with Felipe Vargas attached to direct. Status check: as of March, Vargas exited the project. No replacement has been named, and it is unclear how active development is at the moment. Translation: it is in limbo until someone new signs on.
Bonus slashers for your queue
If you are building a full October marathon, Peacock is also adding the first three 'Friday the 13th' movies on the same day the Leprechauns arrive. And over on HBO Max, a batch of 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' films is on the way soon. October is looking very stabby.
