7 Young Actors That Would Be Perfect for Twilight TV Reboot
Casting decisions can make or break the new Twilight project. We've compiled a list of seven young actors who might just make it.
Even though the new Lionsgate project based on Stephenie Meyer's Twilight book series is in the earliest stages of production, it's already generated heaps of hype. Twilight fans are both nervous and excited to see high schooler Bella Swan and her two supernatural love interests back on screen. If the reboot is to meet fan expectations, it needs to be a perfect addition to the franchise, and the main question is who will be playing the main roles.
Here are the seven young actors we believe would fit effortlessly into the iconic vampire universe.
Sisi Stringer (26)
Despite her young age, Sisi Stringer has extensive experience acting in supernatural and fantasy projects. She's already played a convincing vampire in Peacock's Vampire Academy and has unique fighting skills acquired on the set of Mortal Kombat. Stringer would be a valuable addition to any fight scene.
Natalia Dyer (28)
Natalia Dyer's role as Nancy Wheeler in Stranger Things was undoubtedly an invaluable experience that the actress could bring to the set of the Twilight reboot. Fans know how great Dyer is at portraying character development and will surely pay close attention to whatever project she takes on next.
Jordan Fisher (29)
Jordan Fisher's acting range is impressive. He can play a lovable neighbour or a smug jerk, star in a musical or a horror project, and both sing and act. Playing Impulse on The Flash has definitely given him enough experience to join the vampire saga.
Kiernan Shipka (23)
Another young actress who knows her way around the supernatural genre and would fit perfectly into the Twilight universe is Kiernan Shipka. Her performance as the human-witch Sabrina Spellman in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stole the hearts of many viewers. Plus, she has the look of a Stephenie Meyer vampire.
Cameron Monaghan (29)
The Shameless star is a fan favourite. Cameron Monaghan has impressive filmography that proves this actor can play anything from a heroic protagonist to a sadistic villain. Like Sisi Stringer, Monaghan has experience with the vampire genre, having played the dhampir Mason in Vampire Academy, which could add value to the new reboot.
Emma Myers (21)
The role of Enid Sinclair on Wednesday catapulted Emma Myers to worldwide stardom. Fans can't get enough of her positive, lovable character and believe that if Myers traded her werewolf claws for vampire fangs, she'd be a perfect addition to the Cullen family.
Mackenzie Foy (22)
The most obvious and exciting choice for Bella would be Mackenzie Foy, who has a long history with the vampire saga. The actress played Bella and Edward's daughter Renesmee in Breaking Dawn - Part 2 and has maintained a special connection to the franchise ever since, saying in interviews that she would jump at the chance to return to the Twilight universe. Casting Foy in the reboot would be a nice symbolic gesture that could draw original fans to the project.
