God bless Ryan Murphy!

In 14 years of its run, RuPaul's Drag Race has given us not only an arrow of drag superstars, but also a bunch of brilliant actors who slay any movie or TV series they're in. You've probably heard that two-time Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon landed the Doctor Who gig earlier this year, but she is not the only Ru queen to have appeared on the small screen.

Here are seven most notable TV roles that Drag Race contestants are loved for.

Jiggly Caliente (Pose)

One of the most popular Drag Race entertainers, Jiggly Caliente, is widely known as the star of FX's Pose. The series, co-created by Ryan Murphy, aired from 2018 to 2021 and was a huge hit with both audiences and critics. Caliente played the amazing Veronica Ferocity, a member of the House of Ferocity.

Peppermint (God Friended Me)

The RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9 runner-up went on to have an impressive stage career, becoming Broadway's first out trans woman to land a lead role in a musical. But you could also see her face on CBS' God Friended Me, where Peppermint portrayed Pastor Olivia, the leader of an LGBTQ+ inclusive congregation.

Shangela Drag Queen (Glee)

Having appeared on three seasons of the Drag Race franchise, Shangela is a familiar face on modern television. She has starred in many iconic shows, including Bones, Community, The Mentalist, and X Files, and made guest appearances in a number of films, most notably A Star Is Born and Fox's Glee. Can we ever stop obsessing about this latter role? Probably not.

Willam (Nip/Tuck)

The Season 4 contestant co-starred with Shangela in A Star Is Born and received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for his role in the dark comedy web series EastSiders. However, William's most prominent role is undoubtedly Cherry Peck on Ryan Murphy's medical drama Nip/Tuck. Can we please appreciate Ryan Murphy as the main LGBTQ+ content creator out there?

Bob the Drag Queen (Tales of the City)

The Season 8 winner has gained quite the following on Instagram and has appeared in projects like High Maintenance, A Black Lady Sketch Show, and Tales of the City. In the latter, he played the brilliant Ida Best, manager of a burlesque bar.

Danny Beard (Hollyoaks)

The new winner of Drag Race UK and the first bearded winner of the Drag Race franchise is not only a singer but also an actor as of March this year. Danny landed a speaking role in the British soap opera Hollyoaks, and fans say watching the newly minted actor perform is a real treat.

Bianca Del Rio (Bad Education)
