7 Things We Would Like to See in Ted Lasso Season 3 Finale
These are the most anticipated events every fan craves to see on the show.
It is deeply painful to acknowledge that the show that has taken us on a four-year journey of positivity is rapidly approaching its conclusion. With only a few episodes remaining in Ted Lasso, as the third season is said to be the final one, there is still so much we want to happen.
It feels as though the show could continue indefinitely, but alas.
Here are seven expectations we have for the season three finale.
-
Rebecca finds a way to become a mom.
This has been the character's main struggle throughout most of the show. Unfortunately, Rebecca is unable to have children herself. She is devastated by this fact but accepts it.
Perhaps this is why some fans want her to get together with Ted. He has a son, Henry, and Rebecca seems to get along with him very well. One way or another, we hope our beloved lady boss finds a family of her own.
-
Ted retains his position at AFC Richmond.
While Ted is in his late forties during season 3 and actively contemplating retirement, he could still remain at the club whose players and staff have become a family to him over the years. Moreover, it would be ideal if Henry visited his father more frequently or even lived with him for half a year.
-
Michelle breaks up with Dr. Jacob and reports him to the medical board.
It is true that Rupert Mannion is the primary antagonist of Ted Lasso, but he is not nearly as despised as the deceitful Dr. Jacob. As the Lassos' marriage counsellor, he took advantage of their situation and encouraged them to divorce. Shortly after, he began dating Michelle.
Hopefully, he receives his comeuppance, and his licence is revoked.
-
Coach Beard breaks up with Jane.
Ted's trusted confidant, Beard, has been in an abusive relationship with Jane for an indeterminate amount of time. The woman has explicitly stated that she enjoys seeing Beard suffer.
We hope he puts an end to it in season 3's finale.
-
Nate is redeemed and is happy with Jade.
Nathan has been the most miserable character on Ted Lasso since episode 1. His insecurity leads him to commit unsavoury acts. However, in season 3, he appears to be gaining confidence and control over his life while simultaneously recognising his past mistakes and attempting to make amends.
It would be perfect if he received forgiveness from the other characters and found his own happy beginning with Jade by the show's end.
-
Trent successfully publishes his book.
It's been quite a while since Trent started working on his book about AFC Richmond. He's been privy to many details of the club members' lives and would have incorporated them in his book. We hope Trent gets it published and gets the recognition he deserves before the show ends.
-
Sam's restaurant business takes off.
Despite being plundered, Sam's restaurant has been a success. We want to see him succeed in business, football and politics as he tries to promote the game in his homeland.
Given his zeal and vigour, Sam deserves to be heaps of credit before the show ends.
There are still two episodes left in Ted Lasso, so at least some of these things may still happen. The next episode will arrive on 24 May.
