6 Best Sex and the City Boyfriends, Ranked (Yes, Mr. Big is on This List)
Carrie Bradshaw dated a number of nice guys on the cult show.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this summer, Sex and the City boasts popularity that defies time. The story of four New York women navigating their eventful lives has outgrown the hit HBO series itself and is currently continued in the SATC spin-off, And Just Like That…
Judging by the new season's trailer, Aidan Shaw, one of Carrie's ex-boyfriends from the original SATC series, is going to reappear in the sequel and become the endgame romantic partner for the protagonist. Many fans love Aidan, but he wasn't actually the only great man that Carrie dated on SATC.
Here are Carrie's six best boyfriends from the original series.
6. Louis Leroy
At the dawn of Season 5, Carrie met Louis, a handsome and charismatic sailor affiliated with the US Navy. Completely unpretentious, he knew what he liked, but unfortunately, the buzz and filth of New York weren't on his list of favorite things. That's why Carrie decided to break up with the man, even though his charming personality and irresistible smile enchanted fans.
5. Ben
The one to break Carrie's bad-dates streak in Season 2, Ben was a completely normal and kind guy. Even though he was the editor of a top political magazine, Ben had an unassuming demeanor and liked Carrie for who she was, despite the stark differences between them. However, he still wasn't able to put up with some of Carrie's antics and broke up with her after she had gone mad and destroyed his apartment.
4. Joe Stark
The new Yankee player had everything a dream man has to have — Jow was successful, amiable, and good-looking. Besides, he and Carrie were strongly attracted to one another. However, the dream guy was sacked after Bradshaw realized she wasn't ready to move on from her previous romance.
3. Jeremy
Carrie's high school sweetheart, Jeremy made a brief appearance in Season 6. Even though he was funny and romantic, just as Carrie remembered him to be, the man had some mental issues and had to stay at a psychiatric hospital. Naturally, the relationship faded away.
2. Mr. Big
Yes, many viewers hated Carrie's on-and-off romantic partner and future husband Mr. Big. Indeed, he was terrible in many ways, but he and Carrie were also very much alike. Both were selfish and immature, but they accepted each other's flaws, which ultimately made them a perfect match.
1. Aidan Shaw
Arguably the best boyfriend of Carrie's, Aidan was a controversial character all the same. On the one hand, he pushed Carrie to be someone she wasn't, but on the other, he was just a nice, caring man who envisaged a future with Carrie and wanted to move in that direction.
Fortunately, the two characters are expected to reunite in Season 2 of And Just Like That…, set to premiere on June 22.
