With news breaking that Twilight is set for a TV show, it's worth remembering just how huge the film series was in its day.

Grossing $3.4 billion worldwide, you might assume that anybody linked to the movies would have been a hit property and gone on to a successful career in Hollywood.

But that hasn't turned out to be the case for several of the cast members.

Hers are 5 Twilight actors that Hollywood just won't cast anymore:

  1. Justin Chon: Since finishing his role as Eric Yorkie in the Twilight series, Chon has starred in a few of his own movies but hasn't been cast in any major Hollywood blockbusters.

He's had several TV roles, including appearing as Yoon Kwan in the Casagrandes. He's also become a YouTuber, got married and had a child. So, he's kept himself busy!

  2. Sarah Clarke: While she hasn't given up acting, Clarke (who played Renée Dwyer; Bella's mom) has stuck to indie movies and bit parts in TV shows since Twilight ended.

Prior to the movie series, she played Nina Myers on 24, but that's the only other major part she has played for some reason.

  3. Peter Facinelli: Facinelli played Carlisle Cullen and has gone on to land several roles since the film series came to an end.

Aside from his film work, he played Maxwell Lord in Supergirl and has appeared in S.W.A.T, Magnum PI and FBI. But he doesn't seem to get offered anything by the major Hollywood producers.

  4. Kellan Lutz: Since playing Emmett Cullen, Lutz has appeared as William Shatner in Experimenter and worked with big-name stars, including Kelsey Grammar and John Travolta.

But it's fair to say his acting career hasn't quite kicked off in the way most of us thought it might post-Twilight.

  5. Taylor Lautner: Once the highest-paid teen actor in Hollywood, Lautner looked to have the movie world at his feet when Twilight was in its prime.

But since the series ended, he's struggled to land any major roles on the big screen. In fact, he's only appeared in one movie since 2016 – Home Team, an underwhelming sports biography based on New Orleans Saints' head coach Sean Payton's time coaching his 12-year-old son's football team while serving a 12-month suspension from the NFL.

Whether they rejected Hollywood or Hollywood rejected them, these actors, who we once thought were ready to conquer the world, might just get another chance at starring in a blockbuster movie now that a TV version of Twilight looks set to put the series back in the spotlight.
