‘I don't ever, ever speak to him. I have maintained friends with some exes, it just depends on the person. I never felt the need to continue with his friendship,’ Rebecca said.

Stephanie Davis

Zayn and actress Stephanie Davis dated for a while, but it seems Zayn's fame was a bit overwhelming for her, prompting Stephanie to end the relationship with the One Direction singer.

‘Zayn started going downhill a bit and then it got really bad. If we wanted to go and get some food we'd have to wait until four in the morning,’ Stephanie said.

Perrie Edwards

Zayn and Little Mix's Perrie Edwards were together for four years and even got engaged, so the singer's decision to break up with his fiancée raised some questions: even Zayn's fans accused him of poor manners regarding how he ended things with Perrie.

‘A four-year relationship, two-year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me,’ Perrie said.

The supermodel and the former One Direction member dated for nearly five years and even had a child together. They continued to spend time together even after their breakup. It seems Gigi is open to keeping Zayn in her life in the future, striving to create the best possible environment for their daughter. So, as they say, there are exceptions to every rule, including the rule that Zayn can't remain on friendly terms with his exes.

‘You have a long life alongside this person. That she can be with both parents makes me very happy,’ Hadid said.
