5 Storyline Ideas for Bridgerton Season 4 Every Fan Would Love to See On Screen
These are five surefire ways to make the fourth season a masterpiece.
Season 4 of Bridgerton is two years away, and it's a big mystery which sibling it will focus on. It could be Benedict, Eloise, or even Francesca, but whoever the fourth season centers on, there are things that fans want to see happen on screen.
Here are just five of them.
Eloise's Travels
Driven by a desire to see and experience the world, Eloise decided to leave her home with Francesca and John, who retreated to his family estate in Scotland at the end of Season 3. It would be fascinating to follow her adventures and see her grow as a person – especially since Colin's travels took place off-screen and we were robbed of the chance to see him become the conventional gentleman that Penelope chastised in her column earlier in the season.
Violet and Lord Marcus Anderson's Relationship
After Violet's revelation that her 'garden was blooming again' in Season 2, many fans wanted some romance for the Bridgerton matriarch. So when Lady Danbury's brother Marcus appeared in Season 3 and took an interest in Violet, viewers were over the moon. But nothing really happened between the two, so it is a must for Season 4 to explore their subplot further.
Anthony and Kate's Time in India
Season 3 differed from the second in that it featured a lot of the previous installment's romantic leads, Kate and Anthony. They were arguably the best part of Season 3 and would undoubtedly be a treat for viewers in Season 4. Now that the two characters are going to India to explore Kate's heritage, however illogical it is in her condition, it would be more than exciting to follow them on this adventure.
Francesca and John's Marriage
Fran's story is probably the most tragic in the Bridgerton cycle. Her husband, John Stirling, is doomed to an untimely death just a few years into their marriage, after which Francesca will have another chance at love with John's cousin Michael (Michaela on the show). But before the tragedy, any fan of the Netflix series would love to see just a little bit of Francesca and John's marital bliss.
Penelope's Post-Lady Whistledown Writing Business
Since the entire Ton learned that Penelope was Lady Whistledown at the end of Season 3, there's no secret about the identity of the scribe, and Pen is free to go about her business. In that sense, it would be interesting to see what she does with it in Season 4. Does she hire additional staff? Does she have a gossip bureau? There are a lot of possibilities to explore.
