Many fans hope that the TV show will deviate from the source material in this regard.

Any Bridgerton fan who has read Julia Quinn's novels on which Netflix's hit period drama is based knows that Eloise will eventually settle down with Philip Crane, who made a brief appearance in Season 1 when he married Marina.

But many viewers think Theo is the perfect suitor for the second Bridgerton daughter. Here are five reasons why.

Similarity of Characters

Both Eloise and Theo are strong-willed and bold. She's not afraid to assert her independence in the face of social convention. He is passionate about social justice, even though his class doesn't really allow him to speak out. Neither Eloise nor Theo is afraid to challenge society. And both of their journeys are likely to be full of difficulties, which is why they would need each other's support along the way.

A Family Tradition

It wouldn't be a spoiler to say that all of the Bridgerton siblings tie the knot with the people they truly love, regardless of what the Ton might think. Anthony married Kate, who is only tangentially part of the nobility, but it is still acceptable. Meanwhile, fans of Julia Quinn's novels know that Benedict will marry a lowly servant girl, Sophie, whom he falls in love with at a ball. In this sense, Eloise and Theo may continue and reinforce this trend, at least making their family and friends face their prejudices.

Marina's Fate

In the books, Eloise marries Philip Crane after the death of his wife Marina, whom he married to save her honor after the tragic death of his brother. But it seems that the poor woman has had enough troubles over the years. So if Eloise and Theo end up together, there is no need for Marina to die from a narrative point of view.

Daphne's Prophecy

In Episode 5, Season 1, Daphne, who was the main character of the season, told Eloise, 'I know we could not be any more different, but there is one thing we do share, the certainty that you will make your own way in this world.' And it is entirely possible to interpret those words as Daphne's encouragement to Eloise to be herself and continue to challenge social norms. And what better way to do that than to marry the person you love, albeit outside your class?

Palpable Chemistry

Most importantly, the dynamic between Eloise and Theo is electric. It is obvious that they have great chemistry together. But what is even sweeter is that they are not only attracted to each other, they admire each other for who they are. They share values and views that make for the best possible relationship.

Who do you think Eloise should end up with?
