5 Non-Supe Characters from The Boys That Fans Can't Stand
Redditors can be harsh critics. So, when asked their opinion on which of The Boy's 'non-supe character(s) (they) hate most,' it's no surprise they were all over that thread.
Here are five of the most hated:
5. Donna January
Donna may not come across as inherently evil in the same way as some other non-supes. But she was prepared to infuse her daughter with Compound V so that she could live out her dreams vicariously.
And she wasn't even prepared to admit to it. Instead, she preferred to tell Starlight that her powers were a gift from God.
4. Little Nina
A mob boss and drug dealer, it's not difficult to see why Nina is so hated. But it's her character traits that really mark her out as someone you wouldn't want to know in real life.
She's a bit of a sadist and revels in emotionally abusing Frenchie – leaving one Redditor to say how they 'hate her and wish(ed) the most violent death upon her.'
3. Tommy Peterson
It's apt that Peterson is described on Reddit as 'the guy who was radicalised by Stormfront and murdered a convenience store' as that's the legacy that so many of these radicalised nutters end up with. He's also described as worse than Todd because he's actually gone out and committed a crime for his 'cause.' Which is a logic it's hard to argue with.
2. Todd
As a teacher and father figure, Todd initially presents as an average guy. But he's a brainwashed moron, absolutely devoted to Homelander.
It seems no fans have anything good to say about him. And the consensus of opinion is summed up in one comment: 'Todd is just a few hairs' width away from storming the Capitol.'
He seems to be the most holistically disliked, even if there are some more minor characters who have done worse things than him. But then, that is in many ways because he's a bit of a weasel.
1. Sam Butcher
Straight off the bat, Billy Butcher's dad is described as a 'POS.' It's a pretty good summing up. He's a hate-filled abuser who drove his son Lenny to suicide. And as one user pointed out, he 'didn't get beat up enough' bearing in mind what a nasty piece of work he was.
Unlike some others, Sam Butcher is a character with no grey areas. He is just an out-and-out POS, and that’s why he tops our list.
