The Crowley actor is super sweet, humble, and supportive.

Neil Gaiman's Good Omens has proven to be an incredibly rewarding story of love, transformation, and finding refuge in other people — or fellow supernatural beings, for that matter. Over the course of two seasons, fans have grown very attached to the series' main cast, Michael Sheen and David Tennant, and are keen to hear what the actors have to say about the whole Good Omens experience.

And it looks like David Tennant, who played demon Crowley, feels just as fond of the show's fandom. Here are five quotes to prove that.

5. Playing popular characters

In an interview with Variety, the actor admitted that playing fan-favorite characters is a big challenge (as you remember, his other cult role was the Tenth Doctor). However, Tennant says he is always happy to try and meet fans' expectations and give them as much joy as he possibly can.

'That does take a bit of trial and error, to an extent, and it's something that you're sometimes having to do quite publicly. But it is an honor and a privilege, without a doubt,' the actor said. 'It means so much to people and you want to be worthy of that.'

4. Supporting the Ineffable Husbands idea (long before S2)

Nothing can compare to actors being enthusiastic about fans' ships! In the 2018 video, Tennant and Sheen agree that their characters' love is important to the narrative, and we're glad Good Omens Season 2 took their story in that direction.

3. Hoping that Good Omens would continue (just like us)

Although the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes make it unlikely Good Omens Season 3 will start production anytime soon, fans are already excited for the next installment — and so is Tennant!

'I get to work with Michael again, and I get to say Neil's wonderful words once more. It's probably less good for the universe as it almost certainly means there will be some fresh existential threat to its existence to deal with, but, you know — swings and roundabouts…' the actor shared with WalesOnline.

2. Supporting LGBTQ+ fans

Good Omens offers a great representation of queer people, as the characters share genuine love for each other and learn to overcome prejudice together. Many fans were touched when Tennant showed up at the Good Omens press launch on July 10 wearing a T-shirt that read 'Leave Trans Kids Alone You Absolute Freaks.'

1. Enjoying Crowley's worship

Perhaps the most satisfying thing for the Good Omens fandom is how eager Tennant is to hear from fans, and how humble he is about his fame.

'Embodying characters that have been so loved for so long, not breaking them, not, you know, crushing dreams… The way that we've been accepted by those fandoms, it's been quite humbling, to be honest,' he said to Collider.
