The series where big bucks and power plays steal the spotlight.

Season 3 of Industry is in full swing, a slow-burning drama about sex, drugs and finance that will awaken your humanity and make you appreciate what you have.

Industry feels less like a suspenseful drama and more like a modern-day parable for careerists. It's very attractively packaged, presented in a clear and easily digestible format – just right for modern viewers.

If you need an extra dose of big money and power between weekly episodes of Industry, these five series are for you.

1. Mad Men, 2007-2015

Until recently, Mad Men was perhaps the most important cable series for viewers who watch television not so much for entertainment as for material to reflect on the evolution of society, morality, culture, and business. And indeed, Mad Men is a well-thought-out and superbly acted show that illustrates the changes of the 1960s through the prism of human destinies.

It tells about the daily life of a fictional New York advertising agency in the early sixties. And about the life of its creative director, Don Draper, who is not who he claims to be.

2. Trust, 2018

The plot centers on one of the most famous scandals of the last century – the kidnapping of the grandson of the world's richest man, Paul Getty. Getty was an oil magnate, one of the first billionaires in history. His grandson, John Paul Getty III, was captured by the Italian Mafia at the age of 16.

Relatives thought that the young man might have organized the incident himself to get money. So the famous grandfather refused to pay a cent of the ransom. John had to spend months in an underground shelter waiting for his family's support.

3. Billions, 2016-2023

On September 11, all the partners of a firm died, except one – financier Bobby Axelrod. Bobby, nicknamed Axe, manages to open his own thriving hedge fund in the turbulent aftermath of the tragedy.

But quick success and big money attract the attention of federal prosecutor Chuck Rhoades. One of the show's main intrigues is a conflict of interest: the prosecutor's wife works as a psychologist in Axe's office.

4. Riviera, 2017-2020

Georgina is a professional art curator who knows how to assemble outstanding art collections for her employers. During one of her auctions, she meets billionaire Constantine. He not only asks Georgina to work for him, but also falls in love with her.

Just a year into their happy marriage, Constantine is found dead after a mysterious explosion on a yacht. The woman believes that her husband's death was not an accident, but a planned murder. Together with the children from his first marriage, she begins her own investigation, which completely changes her opinion of her husband.

5. Succession, 2018-2023

And of course, we couldn't miss Succession. Showrunner Jesse Armstrong created a satirical black comedy about modern media moguls, poking fun at how relatives fight among themselves to grab an extra slice of power and money.

Along the way, he created several key characters in modern pop culture and introduced the world to the incredibly talented Jeremy Strong. Succession ultimately became one of HBO's best projects, earning multiple awards and nominations, including a Golden Globe for Best Drama Series.
