5 "Must-Watch" Shows of 2023 You Absolutely Have to Check Out
Looking for the top shows of 2023? Then look no further.
These are 5 must-see shows of the year that everyone should watch:
1. Ted Lasso (Season 3)
Obviously it makes sense to watch seasons 1 and 2 first, but they're just as good and easily bingeable. This is proper feel-good TV, which has everything you want in a heartwarming show. Touching moments are mixed with great humour - and once you've watched the first two seasons, you'll be desperate to see how things turn out for AFC Richmond and their US coach.
2. The Bear (Season 2)
This time there is only one previous season to catch up with. The Bear follows a top chef who returns to Chicago to take over his late brother's sandwich shop. It's a show for viewers who like the art of television, and it has some stunning visuals. But it's also a show about people taking on challenges and persevering.
3. Reservation Dogs (Season 3)
This is really a teen drama. But it's also a pretty decent comedy and appeals to a wider audience. The premise of the previous seasons was that a group of young criminals wanted to go to LA in honour of their friend who died before he got the chance. In Season 3, they're in LA doing what they can to survive. The comedy outweighs the drama and you can easily pick this up from the last season.
4. Only Murders in the Building (Season 3)
Steve Martin, Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne star in this comedy-drama about a group of true crime fans who end up investigating murders together. It's beautifully written, very funny and has won numerous awards. This is another show where you'll want to watch the first two seasons before moving on to the latest.
5. The Last of Us
New for 2023, this dystopian drama makes for compelling viewing. Set just a few years after a global pandemic brought the world to a standstill, it's more believable than you might have thought. A mass fungal infection has ravaged the world, and the only thing left to do is to survive. Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie) star as an unlikely partnership who come to understand each other and bond as they travel through post-apocalyptic landscapes. It was pure water cooler TV when it first aired and is just as good when you watch it again.
