5 Most Unsettling Moments in American Horror Story Season 12 Teaser

American Horror Story (AHS) Season 12 is set to release its first episode on 20 September. That means that the promotional campaign is in full swing, and we all know that the trailers and posters for AHS seasons are horror masterpieces in their own right. The new official teaser attests to that once more.
Although not all elements from the teaser (like the spiders) might appear in the show's final cut, it certainly provides a taste of what's coming. And it's terrifying in true AHS fashion. Here are five scenes from the new teaser that have AHS fans on the edge of their seats.
The Itsy Bitsy Spiders
'My arachnophobia is going to be at an all time high during this season,' a fan commented on the teaser.
The reason? The highly disturbing spider imagery includes an egg dropping from a nest and cracking open to unleash dozens of baby spiders. Feeling the shivers yet?
Spider Bump
The teaser features several pregnant bellies, referencing the theme of the upcoming season: pregnancy. As expected, the show will explore the darker aspects of this journey. All of the images are tinged with a malevolent alien vibe, either in the form of spiders or arachnid-like tentacles.
The most chilling of these is a giant spider that emerges from Kim Kardashian's character. It's so disturbing it's almost impossible to watch.
Run, Girl, Run
Another unsettling spider-related scene shows Emma Roberts' character fleeing from what initially seems like a horde of giant spiders. However, it soon becomes clear that they are women in black, crawling on the walls and ceiling. That is some serious body horror.
Scary Web
The teaser's final moments capture Kim's character cradling a baby (fortunately, we can't see what it looks like exactly) while trapped at the centre of a spider web, connected to other women who bear a striking resemblance to her. This visually arresting scene sends shivers down one's spine and suggests a cult-like enigma.
Rockabye Baby
Beyond the visual frights, a spine-chilling rendition of Rockabye Baby featured in the teaser evokes a gamut of emotions. Paired with shots of ominous-looking rocking cradles, it's a truly surreal experience.
