5 Key Takeaways from Young Sheldon Season 6x21 & 6x22 Finale Promo
Here's a glimpse into the last two episodes this season.
This Thursday is going to be a very special day for all Young Sheldon fans, as the highly anticipated grand finale of the sitcom's Season 6 will finally air on CBS.
Having been on the air since September 2022, this installment of the beloved comedy show seems to have been obscenely dragged out. There were several lengthy hiatuses, and some of the episodes were even rerun on CBS to fill the schedule slots and keep viewers entertained while waiting for new episodes.
But now, the series is finally coming to a close, as the two final episodes are set to hit the screens on May 18. Here are five things that await you in the last episodes of Young Sheldon's Season 6, according to the finale promo.
-
Mandy gradually becomes a Cooper.
The first thing to notice in the clip is Mandy's presence among the Coopers. In the promo, we see her sitting through a dinner prayer, the family's regular ritual.
She is also shown getting a couple's massage with Georgie, which indicates that things are getting warmer between them — so much so that she may eventually accept his proposal!
-
Sheldon burnishes his knowledge of Germany.
Perhaps the funniest moment in the entire promo is Sheldon's expression when he reads a book on German history. While he looks really taken aback by the information, it's a clear sign the protagonist is getting ready for his trip to Europe.
-
Pastor Jeff finds out about Meemaw's gambling den.
Episode 20 saw Meemaw's furtive business being disrupted by a break-in, and the character had to deal with the aftermath. The last episodes of Season 6 seem to be taking this storyline even further with a scene of Pastor Jeff at one of the gambling dens. Chances are, he isn't going to approve of Connie's enterprise.
-
Missy is having teenage mood swings.
In 'German for Beginners and a Crazy Old Man with a Bat,' Missy made an acquaintance with Pastor Jeff's delinquent niece. The girls sneaked out of their houses and walked in the night, drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes, which suggested that Missy is now entering her difficult teen years.
The 'problematic teen' arc will be developed further, as we see Missy angrily shutting the door at Sheldon's face in the promo.
-
Sheldon and Mary set off for Frankfurt.
Finally, we hear an airport notification about a flight to Frankfurt as George is seeing Sheldon and Mary off.
'That's us,' Sheldon says, which means he and Mary are going to Germany for his summer studies together.
The information about the upcoming grand finale is yet scarce, but it's enough to make fans excited. Fortunately, the wait before we see the actual episodes isn't going to be long — both will be aired consecutively on May 18.
