5 Highest-Rated Ted Lasso Episodes on IMDb as of Right Now
It's time to reminisce about the best moments on the show so far.
Believe it or not, Ted Lasso only has two episodes left. While some see the entire show as almost perfect with brilliant writing and acting, some episodes have still been more perfect than others.
We've compiled a list of the top five episodes according to IMDb.
5. Tan Lines (8.9)
Early on in the show, the fifth episode of the first season takes a deep dive into Ted's marital trials and tribulations as the beloved American coach reunites with his family from across the pond in a bid to patch things up. This happens against a backdrop of Ted trying to assert his authority at AFC Richmond by sidelining the team's top striker Jamie Tartt.
The episode delivered a hi-octane mix of comedy and drama, giving it a genuinely raw feel, which viewers really enjoyed.
4. Sunflowers (9)
This far more recent episode sees the main characters head to Amsterdam for a game with a local football club. During a night on the town, a whole bunch of feelings come to the surface as the characters spend some quality time together and reveal their previously hidden sides.
Viewers appreciated the way the series kept developing and evolving its characters with great finesse, even this late in the show and the overriding it's-all-going-to-be-all-right message of the episode.
3. Man City (9)
Season 2's episode 8 explores Ted's path to self-acceptance as he keeps sorting out his problems with Dr. Sharon. Meanwhile, AFC Richmond is preparing for a semi-final game with Man City in the FA Cup, and Rebecca is trying to fix her personal life.
Viewers much appreciated the emotional complexity of the episode.
2. Make Rebecca Great Again (9)
The 7th episode in the 1st season sees Ted finalise his divorce, which has a profound effect on him. AFC Richmond has an away game in Liverpool; Rebecca celebrates her first anniversary as a divorcee with Keeley and her long-time friend Sassy and showcases her vocals by singing Elsa's song from Frozen, sending Ted into a panic attack in the process. One thing leads to another, and Ted ends up spending the night with Sassy.
A lot happened in this episode; there was plenty of laughter, tears, romance and broken relations, all in just thirty minutes, and viewers really liked that.
1. The Hope That Gets You (9.1)
The season one finale sees AFC Richmond play Manchester City AFC. Rebecca is once again challenged by Rupert; Keeley, and Roy finally get together while Ted and the other coaches brace the team for the game.
Ted's final pep-talk in the locker room was what viewers enjoyed most. Furthermore, the episode laid the foundation for season 2.
Ted Lasso's next episode comes out on 24 May. Who knows, it might end up on this list too.
