Number 3 is properly eerie!

Before she married a prince, fell out with the royal family, moved back to the States and gave a tell-all interview to Oprah, Meghan Markle starred in seven seasons of the popular drama Suits.

At the time, it probably never occurred to her that she'd one day be the Duchess of Sussex, Countess of Dumbarton and Baroness Kilkeel. But in retrospect, there are some uncanny similarities between Rachel Zane (whom she played in the show) and Meghan's real life. As these fans were quick to point out:

1. A ' witty and British' love interest

One fan took to X (formerly Twitter) after noticing how Rachel was quick to point out in an exchange with Donna (Sarah Rafferty) that a potential love interest was not only 'charming and hot', but also 'witty and British'. 'Harry was destined for her,' they wrote.

2. The lost title

In the same scene, there was also a suggestion that this man had a title. But that was quickly dismissed. So he (sort of) had a title, but then he didn't? The plot thickens.

3. A car crash death

Another user noted that it was 'eerie' that 'Meghan Markle's character falls in love 'with a man whose parents died in a car accident when he was a child'. Ok, so in the show it's 'parents' rather than a parent. But you have to admit it's another parallel between the character and the actor.

4. The Queen made an appearance

Not a cameo, but she was mentioned. A screengrab posted on X showed Harvey Specter (played by Gabriel Macht) telling Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams), 'Anybody comes to you with any kind of threat, you come to me. I don't give a damn if it's the Queen of England,' he informed him after the latter explained that he had been 'threatened by Jessica'.

Of course, no one knew it at the time, but the late Queen Elizabeth II would go on to become the great-grandmother of Meghan Markle's children.

5. Spring weddings

Season 7 of Suits first aired in 2017, with Rachel tying the knot with Mike in the season finale on 25 April. Just over three weeks later, Meghan Markel became the Duchess of Sussex when she married Prince Harry on 19 May. So, both Meghan and Rachel left Suits for good and settled down in the spring of 2018. Uncanny.
