5 Celebs Who Spoke Against Netflix's Harry & Meghan Docuseries

From outright disdain to the critique of their affluence, Netflix's Harry & Meghan, which premiered last December, has attracted mixed responses.

Despite the documentary series attracting a substantial viewership and claiming the title of the most-watched documentary debut on the streaming platform, it has faced considerable criticism.

On Rotten Tomatoes, Harry & Meghan holds a rating of a mere 44%. Although the series addresses issues of racism and misogyny, many critics and viewers have pointed out that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear incredibly self-absorbed. Celebrities have not hesitated to join in the criticism either.

5. Jeremy Clarkson

Clarkson, known for his allegiance to the royal family and propensity for controversial statements, has openly expressed his disdain for Meghan Markle.

In a piece for The Sun, he likened Markle to Cersei Lannister, suggesting she should also be subjected to a walk of shame.

The article was eventually taken down and replaced with a screenshot of Clarkson's tweet, saying, 'I'm horrified to have caused so much hurt, and I shall be more careful in future.'

4. Sharon Osbourne

TV personality and Ozzy Osbourne's wife, Sharon Osbourne, slammed the series while appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

'There is nothing about themselves, and this is a great time for them to keep talking about their charity, but no,' she opined. She added that instead of complaining, they should start enjoying life.

'You have a great life, you have a beautiful family, and you are so much in love, move on, get a life and move on,' Osbourne concluded.

3. Howard Stern

Radio and television host Howard Stern shares the same opinion.

'I get Prince Harry being pissed off at the monarchy for his mother. They treated her like s--t… I feel bad for Prince Harry losing his mother and all that. So you got my empathy there,' Stern said on his show. 'But Jesus Christ, when those two start whining about "Wah wah wah, and they don’t like me" — and [Meghan] wants to be beloved in this country, but man, oh man.'

2. Kathy Griffin

Unlike many other celebrities, Griffin first criticised the docuseries itself, comparing Prince Harry, who decided to meet Meghan on Instagram, to Armie Hammer, who was accused of sending sexual and even cannibalistic messages.

1. Megyn Kelly

Journalist Megyn Kelly pilloried the couple primarily for their narcissism despite already having substantial wealth.
