5 Celebrities You Totally Forgot Were Guest Stars on Frasier

One of the most iconic sitcoms ever made, Frasier is still beloved by audiences of all ages. During its eleven-year run on NBC, the show featured many characters who hold a special place in our memories. The list of guest stars that have appeared on the show is impressive to say the least. However, some names may have been forgotten after nearly twenty years since Frasier ended.

Here are five celebrities who had cameos on Frasier that you should never forget.

5. Michael Keaton

One of the classic Batmen, Michael Keaton has had an extensive career in film and television. For example, the actor appeared in episode 16 of the ninth season of the original Frasier. On the show, Keaton portrayed Frasier's cunning and scheming ex-brother-in-law, who paid the titular character a visit and put him in a dilemma.

4. David Ogden Stiers

The legendary late actor was best known for his performance as Major Charles Emerson Winchester III on M*A*S*H and his voiceover work for several Disney films, including Pocahontas and Lilo & Stitch. On Frasier, Stiers played Dr. Leland Barton, Hester's old friend and research assistant, in episode 22, season 10.

3. Rene Auberjonois

Appearing in two episodes of Frasier's eighth season, the beloved Star Trek actor portrayed Professor William Tewksbury – Frasier's colleague and mentor. Auberjonois' character was adored by fans, so it's unlikely that his cameo will ever be forgotten.

2. John Glenn

This U.S. astronaut and later senator is best remembered for his political efforts concerning nuclear proliferation and other near-military issues. However, he also made forays into show business. He appeared as himself in episode 16, season 8 of Frasier. Glenn's cameo character talked about alien conspiracies on the titular character's radio show, which caused a lot of buzz among the audience.

1. Patrick Stewart

The actor behind Charles Xavier in several Marvel movies made a hilarious appearance on Frasier in the third episode of the show's eleventh season. He played Alistair Burke, a famous conductor of the Seattle Opera, who mistakenly wooed Frasier thinking the doctor was gay.

Frasier returns to Paramount+ with a reboot on October 12.
