As the newest additions to the genre, these five take the streaming service to new heights.
Although Apple TV+ is still young, it has already given us many brilliant shows, including Severance, Silo, The Morning Show and Ted Lasso. This year, the streaming service has released a number of notable dramas that you need to check out.
Here are just five of them.
Palm Royale (10 episodes, 6.7 on IMDb)
Adapted from Juliet McDaniel's novel Mr. & Mrs. American Pie, this comedy-drama miniseries stars Kristen Wiig as Maxine Simmons, a 1960s housewife who moves to Palm Beach with her husband Douglas. Shunned as an outsider by her new neighbors, Maxine attempts to enter Palm Beach's high society by joining the local elite resort club, where she learns just how far she'll go to get what she wants.

Franklin (8 episodes, 7.0 on IMDb)
Based on A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America by Stacy Schiff, this biographical miniseries stars Michael Douglas as Benjamin Franklin, who travels to France at the start of the American Revolutionary War to secure the support of King Louis XVI. The eight-episode series covers the eight years Franklin spent in France in his quest and the personal drama that accompanied him.
The next episode will premiere May 3.
The New Look (10 episodes, 7.4 on IMDb)
Starring Ben Mendelsohn, Juliette Binoche, Maisie Williams, and John Malkovich, this show tells the origin story of such iconic French fashion houses as Dior and Chanel by following their founders, Christian Dior and Coco Chanel, through the 1940s and exploring their very different paths to success. The differences, both ideological and professional, between the two fashion legends and their resulting rivalry are at the heart of the story.

Masters of the Air (9+1 episodes, 7.8 on IMDb)
Based on Donald L. Miller's novel of the same name, the series centers on the 100th Bomb Group, a US Air Force unit stationed in Europe during World War II, as they launch raids from England into Nazi Germany and its occupied territories to undermine the enemy's operations. Masters of the Air stars Austin Butler, Callum Turner and Anthony Boyle.

Starring and executive produced by Colin Farrell, this mystery drama follows John Sugar, a mysterious Los Angeles private investigator, who is hired by a famous Hollywood producer to find his beloved granddaughter, who is believed to have been kidnapped for ransom. Along the way, John must confront his own past mistakes as they continue to haunt him years later.
