Over its 15 seasons, Supernatural featured lots of fascinating characters, and even those who didn't last long on the show were still incredibly memorable. But of course, one of the complaints the fandom has had with the project is that the writers did not focus enough on female characters.
However, there were still a few of them, and fans on Reddit recently shared the names of their favorite women from Supernatural.
5. Charlie
Charlene Bradbury was instantly loved by viewers for her vibrant charisma and sweet family dynamic with Sam and Dean. Yes, the character was a little too geeky at times, but her story and passion for fanfiction and fantasy were quite appealing to the audience.
Charlie's death at the hands of Eldon Frankenstein was a tragedy for everyone who loved the character, and the appearance of her alternate version in Season 13 just rubbed salt into the fans' wound.
4. Ellen
The owner of Harvelle's Roadhouse became an instant fan favorite: many people loved Ellen as a mentoring, matriarchal character and enjoyed her dynamic with Bobby Singer, which was an unexpected but incredibly pleasant surprise for shippers. Sadly, her death was no less sudden and tragic than Charlie's.

If there is one character on Supernatural who serves, it is Donna. Quite literally, as she was a sheriff with a strong sense of justice who became a hunter to protect people. Fans loved Donna's optimism and upbeat personality, as well as the fact she didn't have a traumatic backstory — something that not every character needs.

Scottish witch Rowena MacLeod was a truly precious addition to the testosterone-filled Supernatural. Not serving as a love interest or plot device, she was a great character in her own right, being a great frenemy of the Winchester brothers with a complex backstory that made her neither a positive nor negative character. Rowena also had some of the wittiest one-liners ever!

Redditors also mentioned Jody Mills, and we agree that this female character was exceptional. A brave sheriff turned hunter, Jody was an incredibly charismatic and compelling character who at times was devious and terrifying but also acted like a mother figure to the Winchesters at times. Fans are grateful to the writers for keeping this lovable character alive!
