4 K-Dramas About Deadly Games to Watch While Waiting for Squid Game Season 3

Intense projects that keep you on the edge of your seat from the first minute to the last.
Squid Game has conquered the world and has already become a cult project. In anticipation of the third season, which will be released in the summer of 2025, we have collected series with a similar plot.
They have complex quests, cruel intrigues, and lots of dark secrets – everything we love about this show.
1. Liar Game, 2014
Nam Da-jung is a simple, naive and honest girl. One day, she helps a passerby find the right address, who runs away, leaving the woman with a bag of money. Nam Da-jung becomes an unwitting participant in a strange reality show.
No less than ten billion won is at stake. The rules are simple: trick your opponent, do not get tricked, and do not lose a tidy sum. If the plan fails, the bills will have to be paid, and Nam Da-jung has no money anyway.
She is lucky to meet a skilled conman, psychology professor Ha Woo-jin. Together they try to survive in a world of lies and intrigues, and also to uncover the secrets of the game and its organizers.
2. Pyramid Game, 2024
Every month, a private girls' high school in Seoul holds a popularity poll that turns into a brutal ranking system that determines the entire social hierarchy of the school.
The student who gets an F is at the bottom of the pyramid and becomes a victim of school violence. Seong Su-ji is a new student who transfers to an all-girls high school due to her father's military job.
She gets an F on her first test and is brutally bullied. Will she be able to rise from the bottom of the pyramid to the top?
3. The 8 Show, 2024
A tense, provocative thriller that was immediately dubbed the successor to Squid Game upon its release. Eight strangers volunteer to participate in a reality show, spending time in a building isolated from the world.
They are provided with a room, food and money for every minute of their stay, but there is a catch. Any amenities, be it furniture or toiletries, must be purchased separately. They cost 100 times more and the money is deducted from the total prize money.
There will be no blood or a series of deaths. The show surprises with something else – deep psychology and the terrifying limits of human cruelty.
4. Night Has Come, 2023
For years, teenagers have enjoyed playing the game of Mafia, in which a mysterious member of a group "kills" others while the rest of the group tries to identify the killer.
But when a group of high school classmates go on a trip, they are forced to play the bloody game for real. They receive a text message informing them that one of their classmates is a killer.
Suddenly, they find themselves in a high-stakes game where losers die horribly. The classmates must unite in psychological warfare if they want to survive.
