A spin-off of The Bachelor franchise, The Bachelorette hits 20 this year, so now seems to be the right time to look back at the dating show and some of its contestants. Many of them actually managed to earn quite a bit of money during their time on the project as well as through their later careers.
So, which of the stars is the richest?
Desiree Hartsock (Season 9): $400 thousand
Besides making a good amount of money, Desiree Hartsock found her true love on The Bachelorette. She is still married to her final choice on the show, Chris Siegfried.
Ali Fedotowsky (Season 6): $500 thousand
After The Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky hosted the lifestyle television show 1st Look and became a social media influencer.
Jason Mesnick (Season 4): $1 million
The runner up of the fourth season, Jason Mesnick was later cast for Season 13 of The Bachelor.
Hannah Brown (Season 15): $1.5 million
Known for her appearances on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, as well as Dancing With The Stars, Hannah is Instagram's most popular bachelorette, with a massive following of 2.6 million.
Ryan Sutter and Trista Rehn (Season 1): $2 million
Ryan and Trista Sutter (née Rehn) are one of the few people who actually fulfilled the show's mission and got married after having met on The Bachelorette. In addition to finding love, the couple managed to amass a nice fortune from their time on the show.
Jillian Harris (Season 5): $3 million
Unlike many people on this list, Jillian Harris has a lucrative profession beyond reality TV — she's an interior designer. She showcased her skills in a number of reality shows and even hosted a season of Canada's Handyman challenge.
Arie Luyendyk Jr. (Season 8): $4 million
He was a runner-up in the eighth season of The Bachelorette and then appeared on The Bachelor. However, Arie has likely made most of his fortune as an auto racing driver.
Emily Maynard (Season 8): $5 million
As a number of people on this list, this cast member starred in both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. A widower looking for new love, Emily made a lasting impression on fans and got pretty wealthy too!
Ed Swiderski (Season 5): $10 million
Even though his romance with the bachelorette of Season 5, Jillian Harris, fell apart in a year, Ed Swiderski was apparently the most popular contestant by a mile. He has appeared on numerous talk shows and contributed to ChicagoNow as a guest blogger. Ed also has a lucrative normal job, working as technology consultant.
