1. The Secret of My Success (1987)

Ever tried to make it big in the Big Apple? Brantley Foster (Michael J. Fox) does just that in this film. Hailing from Kansas, he arrives in New York and is immediately thrust into the corporate world when his distant relative offers him a job. The catch? He's in the mailroom. Not exactly the dream job he had in mind. So what does Brantley do? He assumes the identity of a high-ranking executive and, well, things get complicated.

2. Loverboy (1989)

After struggling in college, Randy Bodek (Patrick Dempsey) returns home and becomes a pizza delivery boy. Things take a turn when he attracts the attention of an older woman, Alex (Barbara Carrera). Realizing there's money to be made, Randy starts providing "extra services" to lonely women around town. With hilarious and sometimes awkward encounters, Randy tries to keep his secret gig under wraps, especially from his girlfriend Jenny (Kate Jackson).

3. She's Out of Control (1989)

Tony Danza plays Doug Simpson, a widower who finds himself in deep waters when his daughter Katie (Ami Dolenz) transforms from a nerdy teen to a drop-dead beauty, seemingly overnight. Despite their passionate connection, Battle has a secret that might just drive a wedge between them.

Especially when she has to fend off female admirers and deal with the school bully.

The classic tale of unrequited love unfolds as Gary goes to great lengths to win her over, from buying her gifts to comforting her during tough times.
