If you're a fan of Korean dramas, you know that they can make you laugh, cry, and swoon with their captivating storylines and charming characters.

But let's face it, not all scenes in K-dramas are created equal. In fact, some scenes can be so awkward and cringeworthy that they make you want to hide behind your couch cushions.

10. High Kick 3 – Ahn Jong Seok

This Korean series is all about navigating life's toughest challenges, from first crushes to work problems. But while it may have you hooked from the very first episodes, there's one scene that fans can't forget – when one of the show's characters, Jong Seok, resorts to some seriously cringeworthy aegyo to get a laptop. It's so over-the-top that even his poor sibling was caught off guard.

9. The K2 – Kim Je Ha

One of the show's most infamous scenes involves bodyguard Kim Je Ha observing Anna as she dances in the kitchen and squeals with delight while eating a bowl of ramen. While some fans may find this scene cute, for many, it was cringe-inducing, causing second-hand embarrassment and even prompting some viewers to stop watching the show, despite their admiration for the actor Ji Chang Wook.

8. What's Wrong With Secretary Kim – Kim Mi So

When it comes to WWWSK, there's no shortage of awkward scenes to choose from. However, the one where Park Min Young's Kim Mi So is showing finger hearts to Park Seo Joon's character is definitely at the top of the list. It may be a gesture that's supposed to be endearing, but we couldn't help but cringe at the sight of it.

7. Love Alarm – Sun Oh & Jo Jo

Have you ever been so put off by a character in a K-drama that you had to stop watching altogether? That's exactly how some people felt after seeing the ending of Love Alarm's first episode. While some fans might have found the scenes between Sun Oh and Jo Jo to be romantic, others thought Sun Oh's problematic behavior was hard to watch.

6. My ID Is Gangnam Beauty – Kang Mi Rae

Kang Mi Rae and her friend are shocked by the high price of the candles they want to buy. After the friend's attempt to haggle fails, Mi Rae decides to take matters into her own hands. With a high-pitched voice, aggressive shoulder-shaking, and fists held up to her cheeks, Mi Rae unleashes a wave of aegyo that's next-level cringeworthy.

5. Descendants of the Sun – Kang Mo Yeon

In this scene, Kang Mo Yeon gets drunk and jumps on the sofa in a "cute" manner, which is an endearing, yet difficult watch. While fans understand the 'female lead getting drunk' trope, this particular scene gave many of them second-hand embarrassment, despite their love for the show.

4. Fight for My Way – Choi Ae Ra & Ko Dong Man

When Ae Ra is displeased with Dong Man's decision to continue fighting, she decides to surprise everyone with some aegyo. Even the food truck owner and their friend are taken aback by this display. But, true to his character, Dong Man doesn't back down from a challenge and responds with his own aegyo, which is even more shocking than Ae Ra's.

3. It's Okay to Not Be Okay – Moon Gang Tae & Ko Moon Young

Although the steamy scene on the table in episode 15 was supposed to be intense, it was impossible not to notice that both characters seemed to be straining a bit too much. With all that prolonged leaning, the choreography felt a little awkward and took away from the chemistry between the two actors.

2. The Heirs – Cha Eun Sang

Now, this one is not just one part but the entire first episode. From a very long crying scene to an unrealistically dramatic argument – there are plenty of moments to pick from. But if we had to choose one to take the cake, it would have to be when the American surfer friend takes off with the bean powder and tries to snort it.

1. Boys Over Flowers – Gu Jun Pyo

This K-drama is undoubtedly a classic. That said, it's also known for using all possible story tropes out there, which are often quite perplexing. But the part where Jun Pyo gets amnesia is indeed quite cringey – like when he's in the hospital, being moved through the hallway, and everyone grabs the gurney on both sides, calling his name while he's clearly unconscious and being taken care of by the staff.
