Zenless Zone Zero 2.4 Release Date Revealed: Banner Lineup and Must-Pull Picks
Zenless Zone Zero’s next big drop is imminent: Version 2.4 On the Precipice of the Abyss delivers new story content, limited-time events, and the long-awaited S-Rank duo Dialyn and Banyue, all confirmed in HoYoverse’s latest Special Program.
Heads up, ZZZ players: Version 2.4 is almost here. It’s called 'On the Precipice of the Abyss,' it’s packed, and yes, the two new S-Ranks everyone’s been waiting for — Dialyn and Banyue — are finally up.
When it drops (and what time that actually is for you)
HoYoverse says 2.4 goes live worldwide the moment servers come back up on November 26, 2025. The patch rollout follows the usual maintenance downtime, and you can expect the standard Polychrome compensation when everything’s back online.
Exact launch time: November 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM (UTC+8). That works out to the evening of November 25 for the Americas, and the morning of November 26 for Europe and most of Asia. It’s a simultaneous release across regions.

What else is in the patch
Story continues with Season 2 Chapter 5, picking up after the Timesworn Hill crisis. Ye Shunguang joins in as a playable ally for the new quests. There are new Bangboos as well (including the S-Rank Birkblick), plus fresh events and some quality-of-life upgrades for Suibian Temple to make life a little easier between grinds.
Should you pull Dialyn or Banyue?
Short version: it depends on your team and how you like to play.
Dialyn is a Physical Stun specialist with a very team-focused kit. She builds Positive Review stacks, then turns those into juiced-up Ultimate windows for the whole squad. If you lean on stun setups or enjoy quickswap chains where everyone pops off in sequence, she’s your speed.
Banyue is a Fire Rupture main DPS who rewards timing and consistency. He flips between Adrenaline and Wrathful Fires states, entering an empowered stance that changes how his EX Skills work. Rupture is about sustained pressure rather than one big nuke, so expect Banyue to function as a hyper-carry who stays on field and keeps the damage ticking.
Reruns worth noting: Hugo remains a dependable Ice DPS if you skipped him before, and Ellen’s banner is another chance at one of the game’s steadiest damage dealers.
The bottom line
2.4 is a meaty update with two shiny new S-Ranks, a chunky story beat, and enough extras to keep your resin... sorry, battery... busy. Just remember Phase 2 is only 12 days, so if Banyue or Ellen is your target, don’t sleep on it.
