Zachary Levi Lands New Hosting Gig for Fox News Streamer
Zachary Levi will host a tnew series for the Fox News streamer, diving into a biblical story.
Well, this is a pivot: Zachary Levi is heading to Fox Nation to host and narrate a four-part docuseries about the biblical King David. Yes, that Fox Nation, the Fox News-owned streaming service that has been leaning harder into faith-based programming lately.
What Fox Nation is making
The project is called "David: King of Israel," and it tracks David from shepherd to ruler through a mix of dramatic reenactments and commentary from experts. Episodes will roll out weekly, and Fox Nation is aiming to drop the series in the first quarter of 2026.
Why Zachary Levi?
Levi isn’t just there to read cue cards. Fox Nation president Lauren Petterson called him a natural fit and said his sincerity helps the story feel relevant for a modern audience. The pitch from their side is pretty clear: faith, redemption, and purpose, with Levi as the voice guiding viewers through it.
"Aside from the account of Christ, the story of David is the most powerful in all of scripture. In fact, one might argue that it’s even more powerful in some ways, given that David was fully human, and therefore flawed, like us, making his journey more relatable to our own."
Levi also says he’s wanted to help tell David’s story since he was a kid, and he calls getting to do it here a blessing. If you mostly know him as the DC guy in "Shazam!" or as Chuck Bartowski from NBC’s "Chuck," this is a different lane for him—but he’s clearly invested in it.
