Your Next Binge Is Here: Everything New on Paramount Plus December 15–21, 2025
Paramount Plus goes lean for December 15–21, 2025, with one headline arrival: DORA Season 4, the kids animated reboot of Dora the Explorer from Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh, premiering Friday, December 19.
Paramount+ is keeping it simple this week. One new release. One day to circle. If you have little kids or a nostalgic soft spot for a certain explorer with a backpack, you are covered. Everyone else can treat this as a breather.
So, what is actually new?
DORA Season 4 lands on Friday, December 19, 2025. Yes, this is the CG-animated reboot of Dora the Explorer, co-created by Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh, and it sits as the fourth entry in the larger Dora franchise. That franchise also spans the Nickelodeon spinoffs Go, Diego, Go! and Dora and Friends: Into the City!, plus two movies: the live-action Dora and the Lost City of Gold and the more recent Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado.
How we got here
This reboot has been moving fast. Season 1 debuted on Paramount+ on April 12, 2024. Season 2 followed on September 13, 2024. Season 3 showed up July 2, 2025. And for anyone without Paramount+, the show made the jump to Nickelodeon starting August 5, 2024, a few months after its streaming launch.
What the show is about (aka: yes, Swiper is still around)
It is Dora doing what Dora does: a wildly imaginative kid trekking through the rainforest with her best friend Boots, solving problems, meeting new people, and hammering home the basics like kindness, friendship, and community. Swiper still lurks as the sneaky fox trying to, well, swipe.
Who is in it
Diana Zermeño voices Dora, with Asher Colton Spence as Boots. The ensemble includes Quintún Muñoz, Anairis Quinones, Danny Burstein, Katarina Sky, Marc Weiner, Donovan Monzon, and Tandi Fomukong, with many of them pulling double duty across multiple characters.
