Fortnite is gearing up for a dose of magic: credible leaker Poket328 says a Harry Potter collaboration is planned for Chapter 7, expected in early December, after dropping the scoop on the FortniteLeaks Discord.

Fortnite might be headed to Hogwarts next. A reliable leaker says a Harry Potter crossover is lined up for Chapter 7, which is expected to land in early December. The leak hit the FortniteLeaks Discord over the weekend, and the reaction was immediate and very loud.

What leaked, and when

Leaker Poket328 shared that Harry Potter content is coming in Chapter 7. FNBRintel amplified it on Nov 1, 2025, crediting @PoketOfficial, and posts about the same Discord leak started circulating on Nov 2. Other accounts, like Crispy T, also posted screenshots claiming the collab is real. Epic hasn’t said a word yet, so consider this unconfirmed for now, but the usual signals are there.

Why the timing checks out

Fortnite just rolled out another big brand mashup with Chapter 6’s Mini Season 2 on Nov 1 that brought in The Simpsons. Following that with a globally recognizable world of spells and house scarves would be very on-brand for Epic.

Meanwhile, Harry Potter is back in the broader conversation. HBO’s new TV adaptation for Max is actively filming as of July 2025. DiscussingFilm even posted a first look at Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter on July 14, saying cameras were rolling. Between that, merch that never seems to stop selling, theme parks, and a whole lot of nostalgia, the Wizarding World has momentum. If Epic wants a win during the holiday rush, this would be it.

What this could look like in-game

  • Hogwarts as a new POI feels like a layup
  • Wand-based weapons with custom spell mechanics
  • House-themed skins and cosmetics
  • Patronus visual effects
  • Quidditch-flavored emotes

Epic knows how to turn limited-time collaborations into a frenzy: urgency, item shop heat, lots of chatter. The design space here is massive, and yes, players would probably go feral for it.

The catch, and it is not small

The celebration flipped to debate almost instantly because, of course, this is a Harry Potter project, and J.K. Rowling is still part of it. Her history of anti-trans commentary and the fact that she benefits from Potter licensing puts Epic in the crosshairs of a conversation the gaming world has already had more than once.

Poket328 didn’t duck the topic in their Discord post. Alongside confirming the collab, they called out Rowling’s statements, said they were personally disappointed by Epic’s choice here, and pointed to fundraising they’ve done for The Trevor Project. In other words: the leak wasn’t dropped casually, and it came with context.

How the community is splitting

Reactions have roughly fallen into three lanes:

There are players who want the content and don’t care about the discourse, leaning on the classic vote with your wallet approach. One post summed that up pretty bluntly:

"I’m hyped for Harry Potter in Fortnite, and don’t care about a stranger’s opinion about it... vote with your wallet... No one says you have to buy the skins."

There are players who are frustrated that Fortnite, a game with a huge, young, diverse audience that regularly highlights inclusion and Pride, would partner with a brand tied to someone outspoken against trans rights.

And then there’s the middle group: people who grew up with Harry Potter and love the world, but don’t love where their money might be going.

We’ve seen this movie

When Hogwarts Legacy launched in 2023, the same arguments exploded across social media. The boycott didn’t move the needle much: the game still sold 22+ million copies. Expect the same cycle here if the collab lands. One creator already called it, saying to get ready for outrage when the skins sell anyway.

So, does Epic push ahead?

Unknown. Maybe the company ships the collab and says nothing. Maybe it delays or cancels. Maybe it tries the tightrope statement about supporting trans organizations while still doing the deal. Whatever happens, Fortnite players are paying close attention to where their money ends up.

If this drops in early December as leaked, we’ll find out very soon which way Epic goes — and how loud the response gets.
