Discord is closing out 2025 with Discord Checkpoint, a personalized year-in-review that spotlights your most-played games, top friends, and favorite servers — Discord’s take on Spotify Wrapped for your online life.

Discord is doing its own Wrapped. It is called Discord Checkpoint, and it is rolling out right now to close out 2025. Think of it as a neat little mirror held up to your year on the app: who you talked to, where you hung out, what you played, and yes, how often you mashed that crying emoji. It is straightforward, a little nerdy, and honestly, pretty fun.

'Your Discord recap is here! See the fun things you did in 2025 — # of messages sent, top games played, friends you spent the most time with, your favorite emojis, and more. Update your app to get started.'

Checkpoint is Discord's first platform-wide recap, built for people who actually used the service in 2025 and have data personalization turned on. It does not read your messages or their contents. Instead, it pulls from usage signals like time in voice, games you launched through Discord, servers you visited, and general activity with friends.

The short version

  • Timing: Rolling out from December 4 and over the next few days. If you do not see it today, you might tomorrow.
  • What it shows: Your most-talked-to friends, most active servers, top five games on Discord, your most-used emoji, voice activity totals, and overall message counts. It even clocks how often you leaned on that sobbing face.
  • Extras: You get a unique Checkpoint card based on your 2025 habits and a matching Checkpoint Avatar Decoration you can display through January 15, 2026. The full recap is private by default; you will get a shareable summary at the end you can post in chat or just save.
  • Where to find it (desktop/browser): Update Discord, then look for a little flag icon in the top-right or a big green Checkpoint banner when you open the app. Click either to jump into your recap. Some users will also get a one-time pop-up that takes you straight there.
  • Mobile status: The recap itself is temporarily disabled on mobile due to bugs (peak end-of-year chaos), but you can still claim the avatar decoration: update the app, tap the You tab in the bottom right, and hit the Checkpoint banner if you see it. Mobile viewing is expected to come back; for now, desktop/browser is the reliable option.
  • Who actually gets one: People who used Discord enough in 2025 and left 'Use data to personalize my Discord experience' turned on. New accounts, low-activity users, or anyone who disabled that setting may not receive a recap. Flipping it on now will not generate a 2025 summary, but it will set you up for future years. Regardless, everyone can still snag the avatar decoration.
  • Privacy notes: Checkpoint does not analyze the content of your messages. It is built from activity stats like time in voice, servers visited, and game integrations.

If you open Discord and there is no recap waiting, it is probably one of three things: the rollout has not landed on your account yet, you did not rack up enough 2025 activity to make the cut, or that personalization toggle is off. None of that means your app is broken.

Once it appears, take five minutes to relive your year: maybe you were a message machine, a voice chat lifer, or a League of Legends gremlin. If you are feeling brave, share your summary in chat and compare chaos with your friends. And if nothing else, at least grab the avatar decoration while it is up.
