The most remarkable difference between a TV channel and a streaming platform is that you have to wait months before you can watch your favorite TV shows in full.

The sixth season of Young Sheldon has been airing on CBS since late September 2022, and the last episode is scheduled to arrive in May 2023.

After two monthly breaks in November and December and a two-week hiatus in March between episodes, The Big Bang Theory's spin-off is going to have you wait some more as there's a fortnight between the new episodes in April.

According to the new CBS schedule, we shouldn't expect episode 17 to come out this week, as it will be aired on April 13.

Then episode 18 is scheduled to air on April 27, exactly two weeks after the previous one. But the good news is, the network isn't going to abandon fans in between the episodes.

During the fortnight hiatuses, CBS is rerunning the already aired episodes from season six. In April, the channel will keep you entertained with episodes six and seven broadcast again — these are scheduled for April 6 and 20, respectively.

It may be sad to wait for more Young Sheldon episodes to arrive on CBS, but the news of the sixth season coming to an end may be even more depressing.

According to the network's schedule for May, the season's grand one-hour finale will be broadcast on May 18, only three weeks after we see episode 18 on April 27.

Although the in-between rerun episodes for those three weeks haven't been announced yet, we can assume CBS will continue from where it left off with the previous reruns. It's likely that episodes eight and nine will be aired on May 4 and 11, just to give you a recap and get fans prepared for the season's finale.

The lengthy disruptions in the airing schedule may be annoying for Young Sheldon fans, but at least CBS is sweetening the pill by rerunning the current season to provide some content for the yearning viewers.

On the other hand, the network is clearly trying to get the audience hyped up for the season's finale. The longer you have to wait for something, the stronger is the craving — and fans just can't wait to see how the Young Sheldon story will end in season six.
