Young Sheldon Gets a Supersized Season 6 Finale, Release Date
CBS announced the release date of the last episode of the season.
After almost six years on the screen, Young Sheldon is still one of the CBS flagship series. Season 6 is currently being aired and soon coming to an end.
This popular prequel of The Big Bang Theory revolves around the Cooper family in 1980-90s Texas. Just like the original, Young Sheldon is a sitcom, but it has much more to it. Its characters are more human and realistic, and their flaws make us love them. The series explores family life in all its aspects, including parenting, marriage, sibling relations, and raising a special child.
Despite all the odds, the sitcom has managed to create multi-faceted characters that have resonated with audiences and contributed to its popularity.
As CBS has announced the dates and provided schedules of its major projects releases, Young Sheldon’s finale will indeed be grand. According to them, season 6 ends on May 18th with an hour-long episode, so uncharacteristic of a usually twenty-minute sitcom.
Theories are being born within the fandom. Naturally, people are wondering what questions the season 6 finale will answer and what plot holes it will mend. For instance, one of the questions is whether George Sr., Sheldon’s father, will have serious health issues that were mentioned on The Big Bang Theory?
Another one is whether he will finally cheat on his wife Mary that will have ramifications on the marriage and their children’s lives?
Anyway, the fans seem elated. Few people haven’t yet voiced their excitement about the upcoming final episode. Most people, on the other hand, have said to be looking forward to the finake of season 6 that is expected to last an hour.
“OH MY GOD IT'S HAPPENING / THAT'S LIKE FIVE NORMAL EPISODES LOL THIS MAKES UP FOR ALL THE HIATUSES,” very enthusiastically wrote Redditor darkdoesreddit.
However, they were told to hold the horses as many people believe that the episode would hardly last an hour and be littered with commercials instead, with only thirty to forty minutes of screen time for the series. Whatever it is, Young Sheldon deserves every single additional minute of the viewers’ attention, granted by CBS at 8PM on May 18th.
