Over the course of Young Sheldon's seven seasons on the air, the pool of main characters has expanded considerably. And they are all unique personalities that we love to watch on screen. But how would we like the YS characters if they were real people?

Here's what we think.

9. Dale

Meemaw's current beau, Georgie's ex-boss, and Missy's former baseball coach has become an integral part of Young Sheldon by Season 7, but that doesn't mean he's particularly likable. Dale is stubborn, cranky and somewhat arrogant, which wouldn't make him a nice person to be around in real life.

8. Mary

Although Young Sheldon's Mary is much more pleasant than her older TBBT version, she's not the person you want in your life. Mary is narrow-minded and grouchy and seems to have a problem with fun. Sure, she's gotten better over the course of the show's seven seasons, but she wouldn't be very popular with people in real life.

7. Shelly

On the one hand, Sheldon is one of the most annoying characters on YS, being entitled, rude, and stupid despite his scientific genius. On the other hand, he's not the worst of the bunch. In fact, he would be quite an interesting person to meet in real life, but he's still not as likable as the other Coopers.

6. Connie

Meemaw is probably the funniest character on the show. She's feisty, determined, and strong-willed. Her jokes and roasts are pure gold. And her cooking is divine. But Connie is too flippant and carefree to like in real life, because you would grow tired of her attitude over time.

5. Mandy

The newest member of the Cooper family (her and Georgie's daughter came before her) has a lot of both endearing and off-putting qualities. Mandy is free-spirited and funny, but she can be ungrateful and easily irascible at times. So it's a fifty-fifty split with her real-life likability.

4. Missy

Sheldon's twin sister is undeniably the more likable of the two. Missy is wise and emotionally intelligent. She's brave and, as it turns out, very dependable. But she also has a dark side, as she often resorts to lies and manipulation to get what she wants. That wouldn't be nice in real life, but Missy's maturity would make up for it.

3. Georgie

While the Coopers' eldest son was portrayed as rude and obnoxious in earlier seasons, he has grown into a very dependable and loyal man who knows the right and wrong of life. He's chivalrous and humble. He's also very enterprising, which makes him inspiring to be around.

2. George

Not surprisingly, Shelly's father is one of the most likable characters on Young Sheldon. Sure, he's a little lazy and emotionally closed off, but George has a heart of gold. He's kind, loving and hardworking, and he never complains about his lot, no matter how hard his life is. That's an example to look up to in real life.

1. Dr. Sturgis

Meemaw's ex-boyfriend and Sheldon's former professor and friend, John was one of the most endearing characters on the show in earlier seasons. He is quirky and funny, very smart, kind, and understanding, which is why he would be a joy to know in real life.
