The Angry Birds flock gets louder as Movie 3 adds internet royalty Mr. Beast, Salish Matter, and Smosh owners Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla to the cast.

Paramount is bringing the birds back for round three. The Angry Birds Movie 3 is set to hit theaters on December 23, 2026, and the studio just stuffed a few internet heavyweights into the nest.

New additions: internet royalty edition

Paramount announced four fresh voices joining the threequel: MrBeast (aka Jimmy Donaldson), Salish Matter, and Smosh co-founders Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla. If that lineup feels a little YouTube-core, that is very much the point.

Who is making this thing

The movie comes from Paramount Pictures with Rovio and SEGA producing alongside Namit Malhotra and Prime Focus Studios, in partnership with Flywheel Media, One Cool Group, and dentsu. John Rice is directing from a screenplay by Thurop Van Orman.

Smosh returns to Bird Island

Hecox and Padilla have played in the Angry Birds sandbox before. This time, Padilla is back as Hal, and Hecox is voicing Bubbles. Nice bit of inside baseball for longtime fans.

Holiday box office pileup

That December 23 date drops Angry Birds 3 into a busy corridor, landing after Dune 3, Avengers: Doomsday, and Robert Eggers' Werewulf. So yes, the week is going to be chaotic.

About those new faces

MrBeast is basically the internet's scale king: over 436 million YouTube subscribers, nearly one billion followers across platforms, and more than 2 billion monthly views. His videos swing between elaborate endurance stunts with giant cash payouts and globe-trotting philanthropic projects — building waterways, funding hospitals, even paying for eye surgeries. He gets plenty of heat online and keeps going anyway.

Salish Matter is a young creator and gymnast who skews toward the kid-and-family crowd with big-energy, straight-to-camera content.

Hecox and Padilla's Smosh has grown into a comedy network with a sprawling ensemble that includes Shayne Topp, Courtney Miller, Damien Haas, Angela Giarratana, Amanda Lehan-Canto, Tommy Bowe, Chanse McCrary, Arasha Lalani, Spenser Agnew, Noah Grossman, Olivia Siu, Keith Leak Jr., and Trevor Evarts.

The voice cast so far

  • Newly added: MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), Salish Matter, Ian Hecox, Anthony Padilla

If the birds mixing it up with YouTube megastars surprises you, same. But it makes sense for a franchise born from a mobile game. Are you in for more Angry Birds? And do you actually watch MrBeast, Smosh, or Salish Matter's stuff? Curious where everyone lands on this one.
