Yellowstone’s Lainey Wilson Already Knows How the Series Will End

The country singer-songwriter has released several memorable songs, including the 2019 hit “Things a Man Oughta Know.” Furthermore, the talented performer recently transitioned from singing to acting, appearing in the most popular TV show on cable television - Yellowstone.

Wilson not only appears on screen, portraying the singer Abby but also has multiple songs featured on the soundtrack of Yellowstone.

As a result, it’s not surprising that Wilson has become familiar with many of the individuals recently involved in the Yellowstone drama. As previously reported, Kevin Costner is feuding with series creator Taylor Sheridan over the shooting schedule and salary for the remainder of season five.

Consequently, the drama has left the other cast and crew members waiting in anticipation to see how it plays out. Wilson, like most of her fellow co-stars, recently admitted that she has no idea how it will all conclude. When speaking on the red carpet at the CMT Music Awards, Wilson was blunt regarding the future of Yellowstone.

“I realized that the movie business is even crazier than the music business,” Wilson revealed with her endearing southern draw. “So, I’m not lying when I tell you that I have no clue what is going on with Yellowstone.”

The 30-year-old singer-actor admits that she is just as in dark as fans regarding an outcome. Accordingly, she is optimistic that it will all work out even if Sheridan and Costner are beefing at the moment. Wilson added that Sheridan has done a terrific job with every show he has created and will end Yellowstone “the right way.”

While Wilson is a relative newcomer to the cast of Yellowstone, she has certainly been one of the bright spots of the first half of season five. Abby has interjected some fresh energy into the show, which has lost some luster over the course of the past couple of seasons.

For this reason, the character has been refreshing, given the energy and excitement that Wilson brings to the set.

Regardless, if Costner and Sheridan cannot hash it out soon, it may jeopardize her future on the show. John Dutton (Costner) has begun to take an interest in Abby, so what happens if the show suddenly has to write him off for the remainder of season five? There are a lot of questions that remain unresolved and only time will dictate the outcome.

However, for now, Wilson is not sweating it. “Somebody let me know when ya’ll find out,” she teased, remaining positive as always.

Here’s to hoping Yellowstone figures it out so Wilson can return for future episodes.
