Kelly Reilly has garnered a reputation on Yellowstone for being the most confrontational and controversial character, which is saying something considering that the new-age western never lacks in that category.

Nonetheless, Reilly's performance as Beth Dutton, the only daughter of John Dutton (Kevin Costner) stands apart for a multitude of reasons. The character is known for her catty attitude and vengeful temperament, along with her rocky relationship with Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) which eventually led to marriage and adoption of a child.

Still, the one aspect that separates Kelly Reilly like nothing else is the fact that the actress is British in real-life - a revelation to many who were clueless regarding the 45-year-old's background.

Redditors are always sounding off about Yellowstone including the good, the bad, and the downright ugly. Moreover, they are also known for pulling out the whip when it comes to anything Beth Dutton, as the character easily ranks among the least favorite on Reddit.

Be that as it may, many Redditors recently revealed they may not be as knowledgeable about Yellowstone as they would prefer. Namely, many Yellowstone fans were clueless that Kelly Reilly is actually from England, not Montana (or anywhere in the United States for that matter).

Reilly was Experienced Before Yellowstone

Despite her breakout on Yellowstone, Reilly was an accomplished actress before she got on the set of the popular neo-western.

Reilly got her start on screen in the 1995 TV series, The Biz. Afterward, she went on to appear in Above Suspicion, Maybe Baby, Pride & Prejudice, Flight, Sherlock Holmes, and True Detective before landing an eventual role alongside Kevin Costner.

Fans Undecided Whether to Hate or Love Beth Dutton

There are some viewers that may have discovered a newfound respect for Kelly Reilly considering she comes from the other side of the pond. However, despite the ignorance, it doesn't change the circumstances that some Americans simply do not find Beth Dutton a desirable character.

Yes, she may do a tremendous job of masking the British accent, but many fans are still opposed to Beth Dutton on Yellowstone. She's clearly one of those characters that audiences either love or hate.

Having said that, Reilly factors to do just fine if Yellowstone is not to resume. The actress is already working on several other projects, including the upcoming films Here and A Haunting in Venice.
