It’s recap season. As Spotify and YouTube flood feeds with year-end stats and PlayStation players dive into Wrap-Up, Xbox fans are still waiting — this year’s Xbox Year in Review hasn’t landed.

It is recap season. Spotify has your top artist, YouTube has your watch time, and Xbox players are waiting for... well, anything. PlayStation dropped its Wrap-Up already. Microsoft, on the other hand, is fashionably late to its own party again.

So, where is Xbox Year in Review 2025?

Microsoft has not officially announced the 2025 Year in Review yet, but all the usual signs are there. The official Year in Review page is already up, it just currently tells you the previous recap is "over" (totally normal for this kind of thing). And last year’s wrap ended with a wink-and-nod promise:

"See you later in 2025."

For context: Xbox has been doing this consistently since 2023. 2022 was the weird skip year. So yeah, it is coming — it is just a matter of when the switch flips.

What you will see when it lands

Once it goes live, you will be able to pull up your stats either on the Xbox Year in Review site or through the Xbox app on PC. Expect the usual breakdown: total hours played, your most-played game, your top genres, and a tidy count of achievements earned. Last year also included some profile customization options tied to your favorite genres, and fans are hoping 2025 beefs up the shareable goodies. It would be a nice win after a year that included things like Game Pass price hikes.

Timing: reading the tea leaves

Predicting the exact drop date is a gamble because Xbox changes it up. Here is the recent pattern:

  • 2023: December 12
  • 2024: December 4
  • 2025: Not live as of December 11

With today being December 11, 2025, it is reasonable to expect it this week. Xbox also tends not to step on PlayStation’s toes — PlayStation’s Wrap-Up arrived on Tuesday — so odds are we are talking later today, the weekend, or even Friday, which would be neatly timed right after The Game Awards.

In the meantime...

If you are impatient, TrueAchievements has already rolled out an unofficial recap called "My Year on Xbox." It is a decent stand-in until Microsoft flips the switch, though the official one is the only place you will get the full, pretty package.

When it finally hits, I am ready to be judged by my hours. Again.
