Will Freddie Stroma's Prince Friedrich Return in Bridgerton Season 3?
Fans are hoping that Queen Charlotte's nephew will at least be mentioned in the upcoming season.
Although he only appeared in a few scenes in Season 1 as an exciting suitor for Daphne Bridgerton and part of her romantic storyline with Simon Bassett, Freddie Stroma's Prince Friedrich captured the hearts of many viewers.
He was sweet, romantic, caring and a perfect husband material. Besides, the way he handled Daphne's rejection showed how good-natured he really was. The concern for women's free will in marriage is a truly impressive trait for the Regency era.
‘I love Prince Friedrich so much even though he had less screen time than the other characters.’ a fan wrote on Reddit. ‘I myself just prefer sweet gentlemen over brooding bad boys.’

Probably considering how many fan hearts Bridgerton's Friedrich stole and how heartbroken he was when he returned to Prussia after being dumped by Daphne, the Bridgerton creators decided to give him a mention in Season 2 and pair him with the perfect girl, Edwina Sharma.
Like the Prince, Edwina was also part of a love triangle in Season 2, and was left crushed when she found out that her fiancé, Anthony Bridgerton, was in love with her sister, Kate. Bridgerton's writers just can't give the love triangle trope a break, can they?
Later, however, Queen Charlotte took Edwina aside and told her that Prince Friedrich was still available. Since Edwina has formed a special bond with the royal family and shares similar values with the Prince, this match makes a lot of sense. They really are a cute couple.
Now viewers are wondering if we'll get to see Friedrich and Edwina together on screen in Season 3.
Will Prince Friedrich return to Bridgerton?
Unfortunately, it is very unlikely that Freddie Stroma will return to the show. If he did, it would make sense to show him forming a bond with Edwina, and we know for a fact that Charithra Chandran, who plays the girl, won't be in Season 3. Chandran revealed this in her interview with The Indian Express in August last year.
Looks like the Prince will have to find his happiness with Edwina off-screen and fans will have to use their own imagination. Well, at least a mention would be nice.
